but we wouldn't do reference to reference that would be unfair considering the reference gtx 680 costs way more than the reference 7970 BUT, if you take the top notch 7970, say a ASUS matrix 7970 vs the fastest clocked 680 the asus 7970 wins by quite a bit but the power efficiency goes to 680 this genereation, but the Performance award goes to 7970 this generation Which is really wierd if you consider a few years ago when fermi was out the situation was the exact opposite lol gpus

@TOTALAwesomeness987 - It spanks the GTX580 which is a shame really because I used to be a nVidia freak, but recently got a great deal on 2 of these bad boys so that's the way the cookie crumbs Love these cards and with just one installed because I'm waiting on my extended crossfire bridge to hook up the second I've been able to play Crysis 2 with all the DX11 packs installed and still pull 601FPS at 1920x1080p I'll throw up some vids soon of it in action
