Listening to the arguments presented a year later, Schiff is the winner here You can't use the stored energy in BTC because there isn't any, but you can still use the energy in gold anytime to produce things There is a difference in using energy to create something and having the ability to store that energy Schiff presented many valid arguments that were just glossed over

You'll need to trust someone that the gold is actually there That is a Tether - we tought it is backed and they said they are, but turns out they are backed only 2 And we are back to gold standard and shortly there after to FIAT system because the "central bank" who was supposed to hold the backing, turns out lent it out You can not verify physical things - but Bitcoin is audited every 10 minutes by thousands of miners and nodes When was the last time that global gold reserves got audited by thousands of auditors?
