This movie wasn't exactly like the comic Constantine, but it really hit all the high notes while managing to be its own thing, and it was actually a great watch The fact that the story was clear and concise really was the icing on the cake Great film all around

This depiction of Satan is likely the best we will ever see Peter Stormare plumbed an unfathomable depth for the character of course, we all acknowledge that, but it's also the effortless power he wields He is in control of absolutely everything, even time and gravity He doesn't demonstrate his power in a wanton or gratuitous way, he just does what needs doing in a fairly economical way The entire world and all the people in it are his playthings, he could just as easily create wonder the likes of which have never been seen as render it all into dust and blow it away like it's nothing to him The entire thing can be unutterably altered at his whim He's that flippant He's the ultimate and final chaos agent He's unbelievably scary It's utter genius
