Just saw a US Coast Guard C-27J flying overhead near US Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento in Northern California It sounds and looks like a miniature C-130 Hope to visit Australia some day, Australians seem to like Americans and the feeling is mutual

SEVEN aircraft? (Tin hats and flak jackets time) When I was serving with 486 SQN Richmond, we managed to fly, ALL 24 C130 Hercules, of 36 and 37 SQNbrDrove the locals nuts in Richmond, when they returned low over the town in flights of 3, 8 times

The ADF downgraded the role of the C27 in July 2021 to humanitarian and emergency response to natural disasters The aircraft was purchased to fulfill the battlefield airlift role Going from battlefield airlift to humanitarian roles is a major redefinition in the ADFs operational expectations for this aircraft For everyone, that does not agree with me, go and do your research!

Wouldn’t have been click bait if we got to see more than just 1 plane take off Should be ashamed of yourselves 7 planes on a runway is not a mass takeoff nor is 1 plane taking off, unless of course you are talking in the absolute literal form of a mass taking off but you weren’t!! Another aircraft purchased by Defence that can’t do the job it was bought to do No department wastes money better than Defence God help us if the ADF actually had to rely on the equipment and platforms that have been purchased that do not perform or cannot fulfill their intended role, in the event the Chinese arrive in our backyard looking for a fight
