You picked pins 8 and 9 for signals but in the code you issue it has pins 3 and 5brbr Serialprint(F("
PS3 Bluetooth Library Started")); br pinMode(3, OUTPUT);br pinMode(5, OUTPUT);br servo1attach(5); //Steering servo on digital pin 5br servo2attach(3); //ESC on sigital pin 3brbrbrLittle confused Comment from : 龍誉紫暮 |
send me the programming code that you used to develop this rc carplease Comment from : kiran malganvi |
Thank you very much!! I had a hard time by not grounding the wire of steering servo same level as the Arduino Comment from : Dat |

i also made a car but i am haveing some problems with the motor,,,,,,,,,,,,,i have given 9V power supply to arduino and 12V to the L298N chip both the power supply are seperate ,,,,,,,,,but my car is not moveing froword , my codes are correct When i start the car there is a sound comeing from the motor like teeeeeeeeeee ,,,,,,,,the moter starts for sometime but gredually its speed and power decreases pleane help me Comment from : animesh bajia |

I have an arduino board uno and a arduino host shield with the dongle and ps3 controller I wanted to know how to hook it up with the reciever on my rc car Comment from : Matthew Wong |
NICE!!!! Any way to control it with Arduino yun and Laptop ? Comment from : daniel grace |
this is really awesome, great job, can i also do this to a tamiya model? Comment from : Dinis Silva |
thank you barrett! I used your bluetooth shield video to get my PS3 controller communicating with the arduino and it worked! However, it isn't registering the R2 and L2 analog triggers… did you ever encounter this problem? Comment from : TheCorcorranster |
add an AI that explores until it reaches connection limit and uses it to mapwell,A MAP! LOL and it sends map to PC I did it with a tank using arduino Comment from : AL Jones |
Nice work! We built a similar project However, we used an IOIO board to control the vehicle autonomously Here is the result:brbr youtube/vkvkfcqEUkk Comment from : Alfredo Bencomo |
What rc car did you use!!! Comment from : Oscar Beaumont |
hey I love the video but do you happen to know what wifi host shield you used and what dongle you used Comment from : electric1821 |
I'm afraid I've moved into my dorms so I don't have the parts on hand I'll tell you what I remember The car is an Exceed RC short course truck running on an old three cell lipo battery I have no idea what the ESC is (you can probably find out if you check the Exceed RC website) You can find info about the USB host shield and other electronics at my website under "Arduino" (link in the description) Comment from : Barrett Anderies |
I'm glad I could help Comment from : Barrett Anderies |
thank you Barrett I am finding these Videos extremely helpful Comment from : MCS Subsea |
I saw your videos for the hardware setup and how to connect the ps3 controller to the arduino but would you mind going over the actual code that you used to program the motors and the ps3 buttons? Thank you Comment from : ross |
hi
can you knidly add me on skype?
COMICALSKYPER
thanks! :D Comment from : eToro BoT |
ok, well thanks Comment from : eToro BoT |
The starter kit should come with jumpers Comment from : Barrett Anderies |
No, you will have to build a router like the one in OtakuSanels video It will require XBees and another Arduino Comment from : Barrett Anderies |
Yes Unless you permanently attach it to something or brake it you should always be able to reuse it Comment from : Barrett Anderies |
and when i buy the starter kit, i plan to try out some of the projects from the starter kit,
so will my uno still work with my rc truck after ive already used it for the projects?
sorry im kind of arduino illiterate Comment from : eToro BoT |
so if i simply add an xbee to yours, it gets greater range Comment from : eToro BoT |
His is more complicated for several reasons As you mentioned, he uses Xbees This greatly increases his range, but adds complexity in the form of a signal router between the PS3 controller and the RC car My setup is as follows:
PS3 controller --> RC car with USB host shield (very simple but limited range)
His setup is:
PS3 controller --> Arduino with USB host shield and Xbee --> RC car with Xbee
Also, he built his own motor controller Comment from : Barrett Anderies |
but i dont have an arduino uno, but im getting one in the starter kit im buying
i wanna know if it comes with jumpers
or if i need to buy seperately, if yes please tell me which ones i need to buy
thanks Comment from : eToro BoT |
yes, i was wondering how OtakuSanels did his
it seems like the esact same thing but why is his so much more complicated?
he used a lot of xbees, and many more things
Youtube wont let me post the link so ill mail it to you :D Comment from : eToro BoT |
Thank you Let me know if you have any further questions Comment from : Barrett Anderies |
wow nice
thanks :D Comment from : eToro BoT |
