Hi there I have heard that resin and hardener have differing weight, and that 8 oz of resin for example may not have the same weight as the 8 oz of hardenerbrI'm new to this and promise I'm not questioning you I'm simply trying to clarify if I should be worried about this? brThanks in advance for your thoughts and advice!

I'm not sure if im missing something, but, those graduations on the silocone mixing cups are not accurate Pour 20ml into each cup Now pour one into the other It doesnt meet to 40ml line What am i missing?

What bout using alcohol to clean up resin messsometimes i get it on my hands and find it works best to get that sticky resin off

Hi everyone! Does anyone know what I could use as a more sustainable alternative to resin? brI have been painting on cardboard/paper and wanted to find a way to preserve them (somethings better than just putting some varnish on) Someone recommended me resin/epoxy but I am now realizing just how unsustainable it is (I mean, I was expecting the resin to be made out if aome kind of plastic, but I did not realize I would need tape, silicone molds, plastic mats, heating, etc)

Would you recommend a heat gun over a lighter/flame for silicon molds? Is a heat gun a useful substitute? I've been using one after ruining a mold with a flame and I'm nervous about going back to an open flame and I will admit I have trouble getting little bubbles out of my smaller molds :(

To make ur mold shiny again add fresh silicone to it! Silicone will bind to silicone!

Hi Steve, I've been subscribed and watching your videos for years I've only gotten into the resin part about a year ago but have been doing power carving for years I think combining the two will be great I started out with my daughters (yes we do have masks and gloves ) working with UV resin It didn't take us long to realize that hanging them in the window made beautiful designs on the wall, but also sucked all the color out of the jewels My problem is with all the people I watch that sell items made of UV resin and they are selling a product that , now is beautiful, yet in time the customer will be rooked because all those beautiful colors they bought in good faith will soon be gone Some sell for a lot of money I ask this of you because I believe you are of an honest nature and will give me a square answer I love your videos and will continue to watch them

Been really enjoying your channel as I am a newbie to resin I didn’t want to go buy a new silicon mat so I used a cat litter mat ( not used ) that has circles all throughout The cool part , to me , is that any resin you pull off looks like a honey comb and can be used for other projects 😊 just an accidental thing I found

Steve you can use colloidal silver to heal contact dermatitis instead of horrible steroids A good strength colloidal silver gel works wonders immediately and know from personal experience as I too have developed contact dermatitis through using resin

Instead of using regular wood to build color-painted stage props that will receive a decent amount of wear & tear over the years getting man-handled in and out of the back of my Toyota Tacoma, I'm brainstorming the idea of instead making solid-colored epoxy "lumber" and building props from THAT!! No painting!! Stupid? Brilliant? What's the worst that would happen to a four-foot 2"x 6" beam of epoxy "lumber" that we chuck off the roof down onto pavement 20 feet down? Shatter? Crack once or twice? Stay intact (minus a few nicks and scrapes)? Epoxy lumber substituting for wood lumber 🤔 If you rated a wood chair's strength at a "10," how might you rate the precise same chair (same sized pieces as wood pieces and all) made from epoxy? brThanks 👍🏻
