I love the respect you show the homes and belongings I have to admit that I would have a difficult time leaving behind the buttons, sewing machines, and seamstress tools I’m not normally inclined to theft but those things should be treasured by someone who appreciates how loved they were by their owners Comment from : Yvonne Owens |

What a charming home, full of personalities, stories and histories It's horrible people going in and trashing everything, what the hey? I would like to believe the woman's children/grandchildren set up the downstairs so it worked for her, and they would visit I think the out buildings were on their way out a long time before 2010 That last house totally collapsed in But I agree with your observation, that that home did hide families You do a wonderful job going through these homes, and wowalways hold my breath with you take a flight of dodgy stairs! Comment from : Elizabeth Oh |

Hi Adam!…what a beautiful house and location, set in its own garden like that So …we have to have French trashers as well eh? Oh how I hate the disrespect and damage they do to that Ladies treasured possessions I think she must have been quite elderly as I’m fairly sure the military pictures of the man in uniform, cap and mustache was of General Charles De Gaulle, French President back in the last war …if not him, it’s a soldier modelling himself on the Generals looks! I don’t know how to attach a photo on here, so have to leave it to you to Google I love those shutters on the windows too…keep sun out and cold out, plus some security Shane modern houses wouldn’t suitbrDo wish you had someone with you on these explores…accidents with some of the clutter, broken glass/China, you cut an artery and your stuffed!! PLEASE stay safe!brSad seeing the bad had to be in the hall for the poor lady…it’s no fun getting old I assure you!brYou documented it well with your video as usual…Thankyou for sharing, and please start remembering to wear gloves! Yuk! When you opened that fridge🙀…🤢 love Helen 🙋♀️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Comment from : Helen Cheadle |
|

in the 'front and first room' the 'saddle' is a "yoke" which was used on/for draft animals to pull something the two 'dressers' are called a "server" {shorter one} and a "hutch" or "china cabinet" there usually a match to the dinning room table Comment from : cat waters |

There is a lot of different eras in that house, the sewing machines, pictures, calendars, decor, it's just obvious that many generations must have lived there, but it's strange they didn't get rid of or throw so much stuff away from the past, there's just too much junk, it's a strange and weird housebrThe basement looks dangerous, and meant for someone short Comment from : Texas Gal |

|
maybe they were going blind or losing their site that's why things were out of organization that's just a thought, that was a horse collar on the wall so they can pull a wagon or Cartit really seems like a nice house that maybe might have been losing their site and going blind so their world would probably get smaller and smaller I'm just guessing but could be a reason for neglect in the house and they couldn't see to go through their things Comment from : Thomas Slocum |
