the false modulation you showed was C major to C harmonic minor but after that you use and say natural minor, you can't do it this way, that's why it still sounds forced and janky, this whole video is wrong

I've watched the whole video and there a too many mistakes for this to be considered a lesson, it's just wrong information, using the wrong names for the keys and not using pivot chords correctly (new key is not prepared or established after modulation) You are missing steps in pivot chord modulation Pivot chords are pretty much never (actually never) used for parallel modulation anyways, it's most often used for the V of V or the V of III you need an addendum for this video

Best theory music lessons by far I'm trying to experiment with different chord changes to parallel CMaj to Cm using dim Chords more as pivot chords back and forth from CMaj to Cmin key Let me know if this sounds right as writing it down helps me more than anything Please keep making the vids, really enjoy learning music as a jazz hobbyist

Reminder that this can be used to modulate to distant keys By going from Cmaj to Cm, you end up with all the same notes as Ebmaj--that's 3 keys away on the circle of fifths with only a couple chord!

Whilst correct, this is not a great example for a key change because changing to the parallel minor is very rare Most key changes go 3 to the left or right on the COF's So in C's case, either Eb or A

So changes with V chord between minor and major are available only for harmonical minor? For example in C min and major is 7th high, therefore they have V common As I know harmonical minor is working only for classic and jazz standarts What about pop musiс? Is harmonical minor being used by pop?

Hi, I have a question When you say that in relation to Cmaj or Cm, the V chord would be Gmaj or G7 Would not the V chord in Cm be Gm rather than Gmaj? Or does just the G note itself (regardless of its quality) be considered the pivot? Sometimes I get very confused by music theory
