i have an environmental science exam today and this was a great refresher thank you!! i hadn't thought about the use of fertilizers decreasing the mineral content of foods so i'll make sure to add that to my essay portion

Good video, although there is a time and place for fossil fuel fertilizers and they can be used symbiotically along with natural practices One thing that was not mentioned is not Fixing plants can use atmospheric nitrogen Our atmosphere is 21 oxygen and 79 nitrogen but the nitrogen that exists in the air is not available to most plants Only nitrogen fixing plants are able to use atmospheric nitrogen

This is why I fertilise my houseplants with aquarium water and aquarium waste from the filter Even though it doesn't immediately boost the plants as strongly as inorganic fertiliser would, in the long run I know that there are only natural processes working with them My plants that love this the most are mint, pomegranate and pepper

Photosynthesis is not proper word for very sophisticated cycle in plant life It's better call it transmutation Not only leguminous plants can fix nitrogen, all plants can but if there is enough effective microorganisms (EM) in soil Plants also can fix other things from air, C, O, H and trace minerals solved in water steam All other needed minerals are in soil in more than enough quantities if you have enough microorganisms in your soil
