Tip for vines: You can use them to make little secrets For example, in one of my levels, i give the player a powerup to make the level a lot easier if they just explore

This is an old video, so I know no one cares anymore, but I saw the recommendation to add aesthetic vines to levels so I had to chime in anyway Aesthetic vines frequently impact a level's playability in a negative way, and while this impact is admittedly minor in most cases—aesthetics are never so important that they're worth even a minor inconvenience to playability

Well it’s definitely good that I already have used or known about these tips I just kind of wish mario maker 2 had more decorations I know the game has enough to work with but it still feels very limited and in many situations there’s not much you can do about some ugly designs

New tip:This only works in under ground and desert in certain styles but you can use a certain semi solid (the like wood one) instead of mushroom Platforms

also in early themes ( Mario bros and Mario bros 3) I think that mixing bric… BLOCKS and hard blocks in the ground can look really nice! Just make sure there is no way to destroy those said blocks

Here’s a tip for the semisolids I use in my levels! (this won’t work for ALL semisolids) if you combine semisolids, like in SMW,Underground’s bone and that one without holes, they will look VERY good! I also put skull platforms at the top, too (I mostly use them for 4 unit semisolids)

Tip with the Super Mario world underground, placing those hole semisolids on front of normal ones can help giving the level a more depth design

I am proud of the first level I used these tips for It is called Old Wiggler Maze (V1M-TL7-6QF) It has a final boss, which you CAN make easier with the vines, but that is intentional If you want to, go and play it! I would really appreciate it

I disagree with using four blocks to connect pipes at a 90-degree angle It looks tacky and cheap I'd much prefer to stick with the method used by the original SMB1 designers
