What if he shuts up (silent treatment) for more than a month It has been 6 years since the marriage Every little conflict happens, he gives me silent treatment Its soo hard I think i am mentally breaking down

I personally ain’t the type to treat others with silence but recently decided to just shut my mouth It’s a brother and sister conflict but always felt denied of expressing what i have in my mind since for multiple years I’ve lended an ear to my brothers and sister but when you feel like your own glass is almost full and decide to talk they all make a fool out of you At first i analysed the situation and decided to ask my sister to just talk it through but threw my request aside and since I’ve always been the silent person she always came by and shared her frustrations and never recognised that I’ve always been there for her emotionally but when i called out she rejected me like as if i was saying some foolish stories and thus ending up with going back into my corner and keep my foolishness to myself and apparently it’s being indiscipline and lack of respect to elders (words coming from her own mouth) I don’t know if someone can give me an advice cz i love sharing my thoughts and life experiences with people and i guess i don’t feel like doing that anymore and it ain’t being selfish but just going back into a state of mind that always brought peace around my family…

I thought I ran away from the relationship too soon but the comments reminded me that I did the right thing In the span of 2 weeks, my spouse went silent 3 times on issues that were unknown to me (which made it most frustrating) I had to end it because that couldn’t be the life for me

😢 My husband gives me the silent treatment and isolates when I disagree over small things It’s his way of expressing anger I also deal with depression He is bipolar and can’t let go of the little things His treatment of me feels like rejection and wells up old feelings of abuse from family Right now, he is furious because I asked someone to fix our clothes dryer instead of buying a new one He is not wanting to speak to me about it My biggest fear is being left alone, so his actions are very painful I cried for hours and hours yesterday So tired of loved ones treating me like the enemy

Silent treatment - it like a power move as if they think they have the upper-hand and are allowed to behave in an emotionally manipulative manor (its punishment by withdrawl of relationship which is emotionally manipulative) Over time as Ive discoveded this, I have found it to be immature and pathetic and I lose respect for people who treat others in this punative manor My personal experiences with this have been with people who do not respect healthy personal boundries and who seem to have strong enmeshment needs

This is a really good video, and we really need more content about the silent treatment in general Too many people use it to subtly hurt and control othersbrbrOn that note, I would love it if you did one that focuses more directly on how it affects people, and how people can learn to deal with it and move on from it You touch on it somewhat, but I feel like it could be addressed more fully And it would be helpful to, if you make another video, include non-romantic examples as well I personally had my older sister who liked to give the silent treatment

Sounds like a SF MTA or Muni Operator, a passenger like me tries to be nice and all I get is an AI reaction of dead silence! Like I am not even there, they even treat tourists like this as well I think it is a directive in training to simply unilaterally give the 'silent treatment' towards the public which to me in itself is exceedingly rude! Public transport worldwide and even i America now use PT to get around The drivers are in effect 'ambassadors' for the city This cold rude treatment only portrays a city as basically rude and indifferent They NEED PR training which they do not get! I am personally offended and one black operator (as I am white French youth myself, trying to offer him a nice day upon leaving his trolleybus, he GAVE ME THE FINGER! tH IS not THE WAY TO TREAT THE GENERAL PUBLIC!, PLEASE DON'T come to Amerika, too many7 rude andnasty people! having the 'triangle' of ADHD, IED and ODD he was damn lucky I did not simple EXPLODE on him!

Gosh I dated a few guys were like that, if they were not happy they were silent and I didnt know what went wrong! I hate to deal people like that, I need to be careless for these people 😡

Im currently in a silent treatment relationship at the moment but im planning on leaving soon meaning out the country Everytime i wud speak about how i feel he wud get mad an ignore me for months at a time like even during my pregnancy we had arguement an he ignored me for 6 months of my pregnancy came back when i was near to have baby , mark you i was upset but the love i had for him blinded me so i gave him back a chance fast forward we had an arguement from march 10 an he hasnt spoken to me from that time but i know his style hes going to try an come back but this time i wont be here when he comes
