Actually a credit card is better for small purchases as making large purchases like silly vacations on them is just the way people get in debt and have lots of interest charged I use debit because I couldn't be bothered to pay off the monthly balance and spend rather little money Credit card benefits I find are like airmiles giving you something paltry for lots of spending They can help you build credit history but that's for people who love to be borrowing money or getting loans which I avoid
