Prices depends on crypto prices/mining profits for sure When it was the worst, in Poland 3060ti was 2400 zł (rly cheap for me, got 2 for 3000 zł each, but they made it up alredy, this 1200 zł), it was when btc was 19k USD, when it went back 23k USD Cards in 1-2 days went up to 2600 zł like 200 zł up easy Greetings Brandon, love your channel, keep it up :)

about 1 month ago I made a 5 gpu mining rig of p106-100 gpus you can get them for 60-70$ and my mine about 050$ a day or 21/mh

We can not overlook the effect of inflation, non dedicated miners are going to fall off the scope due to much less discretionary spending power This of course hurts new sales and the supply will mandate MSRP pricing The deals are going to become available on the past gen cards on the used market That market is going to not just have sellers who are upgrading cards, dropping out of mining, but also people who have to make rent and are selling assets

Nvidia got greedy and thought they could keep those 'pandemic' prices as the norm And based on rumors, they intended to price their 40-series GPUs based on such, and now everything has since blown up in their face The only thing I disagree with is the comment that gamers aren't gaming less I completely disagree with that I think Nvidia's GPU prices dissuaded a lot of consumers from upgrading their PCs/GPUs as well as newcomers from buying/building new gaming PCs Of course, it's true that crypto-mining drove the past so-called 'supply shortage' but it's evident now that a lot of gamers have been put-off by Nvidia's greed, as shown by the current unwillingness of many consumers to 'forgive and forget' and thereby rush out to buy GPUs even at reduced prices

Brandon I dont think its going to go any cheaper, there is a big reason i dont think, even if eth merges, prices might spike up THE ONLY REASON IS , if China start an invation to Taiwan, the rtx 40 series and AMd and intel all manufactoring will be delayed, we are not even sure if the world give china some sanctions ? So the fact that there are less cards in the market will stabilize the gpu market prices This is my 2 cents

Certainly the ETH mining has very big effect on GPU market Even if the market is doing now some upward moves, it does not remove the fact the Ethereum is moving towards POS, with or without delays There is probably some math how that affects profitability of mining, basically the profitability of mining other coins should be able to digest all the ETH miners, and that certainly will not happen in the short run In the longer term, well there will be adjusting in many parts, and that adjusting might mean less need for PoW mining overall, and that means, there will be lots of GPUs for sale, both new and used

A 3090 Ti is now about 50 off from MSRP so yeah GPU's are getting cheaper NVidia will need to clear stock in order to sell 4000 series and it makes sense since the leaks show a 4070 will match a 3090 Ti in performance In addition, NVIdia was just short 12B with their forecasted sales #jellyfish

Completely agree, this is NVidia trying to spin it without saying "Crypto Mining" Just as important as the drop in demand on the new market, they are also now having to complete with the glut of second hand high end cards being dumped on the market by miners getting out 'while they can' This supply doesn't traditionally exist as gamers with high end cards tend to keep their cards, not sell them like miners are This is karma coming back to bite them in the ass
