Leaps? If you want to make money in the stock market read the book The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel Plenty of investors lost lots of money using leaps, just ask Tesla Economist

Well I’m down over 60 in TSLA but it could be worse br The debate I have with myself is if and when I should dump more money into this stock to significantly lower my cost basis brCurrently my greatest concern is how to recover from all these economic and global troubles and stay afloat especially with the political power tussle going on in the US and for sure my diversification process but still on fence about the market future

One of the advantages of stock is that you do not lose until you sell LEAPs have a time limit so you only get a fixed time to act So the most you lost last year is actually on the LEAPs

How do you determine strike price? If your timeframe is 12-18 months and goal of premium 30 or less do you just find strike price that fits those parameters? Thanks!

Rule #3 Know kelly Adhere to Kelly Criterion, size your bets small (per Randy's advice) Consider scaling in as the stock falls but start small
