i still rather like it on the vita its far from perfect, but i really like having a portable version that has trophy/achievement support i'm a sucker for those i also enjoy the unique functions built into the vita version allowing the use of the front and rear touch pad if nintento had a trophy system, it would be a high contender for my favorite system

BL2 on Vita was my introduction to borderlands I hated the FPS but none the less im glad I bought it Because the second I got a PS4 i got that version to properly play it 😂

215gb is small for a modern game, that's also with BL2 and every single piece of additional content made for the title, bar maybe the newest FFS dlc which is just garbage To be fair flash storage is a lot cheaper now but still, COUGH UP THE STORAGE

Borderlands for vita is impressive for what it was Vita was comparing with the 2ds/3ds during it's time And those games are ass compared to borderlands on vita lol It definitely wasn't poorly optimized It's a 3gb vita game And a 21gb switch game They had do do a lot of "optimizing" to even get something like borderlands to be "playable" on the hardware Switch games have performance issues But I haven't played borderlands 2 for switch so I cant say for that game

The only problem with jumping to another platform to play BL2, is the fact that I have years of saved characters between the PS3, and PS4 versions, which are all movable to the Vita if I need to improve a character on the go I can't move those saves to the switch

Got to level 26 w/ gaige so that i don't have to aim her special ability and deal with the atrocious frame rate game keeps crashing in menus when i'm in making it up to the bunk3r level however after the third or fourth crash, i finally gave in I updated my ps vita oled, used cross save to transfer my character over to my ps5 version of the handsome collection frame rate and the constant crashing on this ps vita port was absolutely terrible

If you mod your vita, reduce the game resolution and overclock the cpu you can get this to stay right around 30fps without issue

Glad i ordered myself a steamdeck and will be palying borderlans 2 (my favourite game) on a powerful "handheld" instead of a ported crappy version on a vita When i saw it existed on vita i went from thinking i was dumb for buying a steamdeck to play borderlands to seeing how much it lags and understanding i made the right choice, also i can play with my steam saves so that's an extra plus I wasn't going to get it on a switch in any case, the switch has less power than an an underpowered shopping trolly lol

Have you tried overclocking your vita? I went from 14-23 fps to a solid 30 fps Overclocking also fixes games like AC liberation and any other game with poor fps Also San andreas is on vita now I think when devs were making borderlands or AC liberation they were able to dev at the overclocked fps but sony decided to reduce the clock speed later to increase battery life The vita went from 333mhz to 500mhz and the gpu from 163 mhz to 222mhz which totally fixes the game completely
