This continues to be my favorite "setup" description on the web A well-thought-out approach to a quality stream with room to grow At the same time, I was overwhelmed after dropping "the basics" into my Amazon shopping cart and seeing a total of $1,710 (mac mini $600, Ecamm $200, Sony E-10/kit $750, Samsung mic $60, Camlink $100) That's still a high entry point considering that creativity and imagination are the driving factors to a successful stream (as demonstrated by this excellent channel) The industry needs more affordable camera options Maybe the cloud-based encoding/streaming services make sense as an entry point?

I have 2 cam links and 1 mini stream deck, using obsbrI purchased it these so I could record video and manage 3 camera scenes all at the same time overhead, front face and split scene Using my mb pro 13 once I had all set up and had all on recording mode my fans were so loud I could not hear myself I was so scared my mb would blow up I stopped and have not been able to fix the issue Looks like I will need a computer that can run all this at once Thanks again for this great video explaining everything in plain English helped me understand the setup I have and diagnose my problem Now I just have to save enough to purchase a computer and I think I will have a decent setup 😘

I am considering dedicated 2nd streaming pc but last time I tried it audio video latency was ridiculous Audio performance pc audio out joins second pc with cam links attached latency is nutslips moving sound comes later or vice versus with look ahead setting too high in obs studio

Hey Tom----: I'm using Streamyard to record all my podcasts I have the basic pro plan at $25/month so I can only record at 720p Do you think having a good DSLR such as a ZV-10 or A5100 with that Sigma 16mm lens is even worth the investment if you can only shoot 720p as opposed to using an iPhone as a webcam upgrade? I REALLY want to get a Sony camera with a great lens but at 720p don't know if it will make a noticeable difference? Lastly is there a big difference quality wise between 720 and 1080 to, again, make it worth to spend $1000-1500 on a solid camera and a good lens (like the Sigma 16mm)?

Hi Tom, I have a question for you: I am using a Steinberg UR22c audio interface as my main input device, but have just purchased a Podcaster Pro (yes, down to your videos) with a view to stream and podcast/radio broadcast from that Is there a way I can run the audio interface and the Podcaster at the same time? At the moment, they cancel each other out (the PC will not recognize the Podcaster, unless I disconnect the Steinburg Any input/advice is much appreciated Thank you

I am Patrick and I really need help in setting up my live streaming on Facebook I have tried series of software but it seems like it’s not working I am a musician and I want to be going live on Facebook and play and sing at the same time using my DAW So far I have been able to set up my camera and partially my audio It’s like when my voice sound through the system, I am not able to appear on the entire screen I really need help I have watched a lots of videos on YT and did literally what they say to no avail I will pay anyone who will help me setting up and I know it’s going to be via video call or something like that Please reply, thanks Oh and it’s doesn’t have to be ecammlive, it can be any other software

Love your content Tom! brbrOver the last couple of years I have had over 700 meetings in Teams I use a EOS R with a 35 mm 18 Camera is powered with a dummy battery brbrI use an Elgato Camlink 4K to connect it to my computer Also have two Elgato Keylight Air for lighting I do not stream on any platforms, so It’s only for work Yes it’s overkill, but I love it brbrI use a Jabra Evolve 75 UC headset for audio I am really happy with the video quality, but would like to “up my game” on the audio side brbrWould love to see some more content on typical WFH gear and setups brbrKeep doing what you’re doing and build your channel! I would mention that a setup with multiple usb mics can be a pain in the neck, so if you're planning to have guest or somthing on your podcast xlr is way easier to set up
