It's very interesting to see how different care can be for different regions, here in Australia they are native, and thrive outside in full sun and require little to no special care apart from fertiliser and water

Just got my first ficus in the mail, and it literally has NO front NONE! It is easily the ugliest ten year old boonsai I have ever seen God sent me this horrible tree to learn on Wish me luck It's going to be an adventure!

My first and only tree is a ficus, I’ve always wanted a bonsai tree, but never knew there were any other species than junipers My coworker gave me a tiny ficus as a moving gift, and I have never been more interested in a gift in my life I can’t wait to see my lil forest in the future

Working on a mame bonsai using ficus religiosa Gonna give it a year or so to recover from essentially cutting off the tap root completely, and cutting the trunk to being a 1-2 inch stump Its doing very well Once its roots have recovered, ill be training it to be a really cute mame bonsai in a jade pot

I've ben growing my own bonsai from seeds for few months no (WISTERIA and BLACKPINE) since every bonsai tree I bought in local shops died within a week to a month no matter how much i took good care of it Now, with those little ones growing I got Ginseng Ficus bonsai for my birthday (I didn't like ficus so much) but more I watch ur video the more I like them I hope that this one will stay with me Thank you for your videos and your calm BOB ROSS kind of talking and advicing :)

Hi I Have had a ficus for 10 years Wife got it me for are 20th wedding anniversary I love it It's been in the new pot for around 5 years I put new compost in the pot 2 days ago Plus I cut all the dead branches off The base of the trunk is about 4 cm in diameter Could you tell Me if you can, how old the tree is ? Been working on learning about bonsai soil When I'm watching this video, the soil that I see in most of these tree pots looks like mostly peat or dirt or potting soil It doesn't look like his mix (from his soil video) with all the grit and pumice and akadama and bark Does he use just potting soil at first, or for certain trees like ficus? Or does he put potting soil on top of his mix? Or do I just not see his actual mix and it just looks like dirt to me? Not being rude at all, just trying to learn

I have a cedar bonsai Our house sitter did not take care of it while I was away and this was during peak heat season in Perth Australia I came home and found this dried out tree Firs are prickly and dry I’m giving it some water very day now hoping that I might revive it When do I give up and accept it won’t recover Any help would greatly be appreciated
