My 3080 LHR EVGA ULTRA HYBRID runs at 50C or less in the GPU, which is fabulous Meanwhile, my memory is at 93C and with a little more OC’ing I could easily get that bitch to 110c on the memory So annoying that people buy these cards specifically for the superior cooling yet the manufacturer might as well not have even put thermal pads on the memory they’re such terrible quality It’s very interesting how this is a problem across all brands though 3080s, not a single company bothered to upgrade thermal pads brI’m a new miner and only have 1 rig 1 3080, 1 2080ti, and 3 1080ti All evga hybrid cards The 3080 is the only one with overclocked memory temp problems and I really don’t want to repad because it’s my only 3080 and if I break that shit I’ll die soooo 🙃 Instead I’ve got the fan turned up on it and reduce the power usage below it’s most optimal setting I lose about 2mH on RVN but it keeps me around 92C on the memory so I think it’s worth to make sure I’m a bit away from the 95c mark

1 $20 boxfan from target will solve all your 3090 heat woes Don't even need to set that thing on high, med or low is fine Baffles the mind why people still try to cool these rigs with the dinky little 120 and 140mm fans that do next-to-nothing compared to a box fan

Bro, your wattage on 3090 is a bit too high Increase heat for nothing back, you could only set to use 290W 295W and get very similar hash rate

I generally try to change the thermal pads on all my GPUs every 6 months, i also invested in an ultrasonic cleaner last year in order to make sure the GPU coolers stay clean as much as possible :)brI'm surprised you don't have one or you did not disclaim it to us yet :)brHappy midweek Mike and don't look at the market right now ;)
