M'lord this is amazing! Do you think it would be possible to use mineral oil instead of water? Comment from : @abelhnm |
All this stuff looks awesome Can ou give me a few links to rebuilt this (maybe without welding)brI think this is really great! Comment from : @gettinjiggy1633 |
It would've been better if you had tested in other softwares than just Superposition, this type of mod should leave a lot of thermal headroom for the system and could benefit games a lot more Comment from : @kingeling |
You could use a radiator from a refrigerator to put over the fans Comment from : @shadowpony9312 |
What was the thickness of that copper piping? Comment from : @NitroTheDingo |
what is you minimum and maximum cpu state ??can you tell me? Comment from : @ovipandagaming2787 |
Its Awesome 🔥🔥 Comment from : @sonickiller |
omagah Comment from : @vitinhx794 |
NICE BRO GUD WORK CAN I USE SOFT COPPER PIPES INSTEAD BCZ I DONT HV WELDING MACHINE Comment from : @coolmonkey5269 |
Nice maybe you can sell it and change the cooling world for laptops 👀 Comment from : @XxSniperFiendxX |
Your fans arent blowing cold air underneath the laptop you have them wrong bro flip them over and you should see a difference Comment from : @KILLERSPREE956 |
what about moisture build up that might be pumped inside the laptop Comment from : @prasanthrajappan4401 |
cool! Comment from : @willbelawyer |
when I was back in uni I made a diy air cooler in pretty much the same way Comment from : @AceSkates |
Mate nicely done, I was wondering if this sort of a project is worth the pain You have given me loads of ideas to go off of Comment from : @mechwarrior83 |
large fans running are better than small "tinny" mosquito like noise of a (usually broken or dusty) laptop fan Comment from : @ObaidahNaseer |
Awesome! Thinking about doing something similar Would it get cooler with rubbing alcohol instead of water and with an air tight lid on the tank? Comment from : @newtuber4freedom43 |
try removing the back plate of the laptop because it is making the fresh air touch the components directly so its cooling a lot more Comment from : @masteredmello1959 |
This is not adding up The thermodynamics ain’t making sense because the thermal mass is already room temperature to begin with, so without an initial temperature differential, how is this just magically losing heat? It’s been a year or more since I’ve taken thermo but I’m not seeing how this is possible Comment from : @ptrkmr |
ADD ICE TO THE BUCKET !!! TEST AGAIN Comment from : @ShadowlordDio |
I am amused by the dedication to DIY that you used a section of steel pipe to make a custom tank for cold water instead of using, like, a bucket Comment from : @Zarathinius |
i think you couuld get better cooling if you put the laptop on to a copper plate ,left a air gap , and directly cooled the copper plate with 2 large fans Comment from : @FSK1138 |
Lol i had same problem with my Acer nitro 5 RTX 2060 GPUbrBut i just limited procesor to max 95, limit fps on 59 and set on power savebrBefore that it was balanced settings and goes about 80°-90° cpu, 70-75gpu brBut now average temp of cpu is 48° , max 58°brAverage gpu 45°, max 50°brNo need for any fan coller brI am playing World of tanks Ultra HD settings with 59fps limited, ulimited it can go over 140fps Comment from : @iluminatedskyline2906 |
From the first seconds I decided it looked like a grill with six hamburgers and I cannot unsee it lol great video btw Comment from : @luisfvperes |
But there's no radiator? The water in the tank will just heat up gradually until it reaches room temp and above Comment from : @doobietothehead4160 |
Make it smaller and more effective Good video! Comment from : @shakhrizodyusupov2683 |
why they dont made like this ? just fan cant do anything only move air Comment from : @purplefurture6960 |
Better keep the laptop outside the housebrLooks like it s pretty cold from that blazer that ur using it Comment from : @elvisica1 |
shouldnt the fans be facing the other way so it blows the cold air inside and vents them out? Comment from : @taner980 |
Is the water used in this ice water? Comment from : @praveenkmga6984 |
make it as a wall mound for space Comment from : @nuvanix738 |
Just buy a radiator or a cooler as a laptop pad Comment from : @priyankam6968 |
Ps if loop all water before cpu would be colder Comment from : @mick00000000002 |
Go tirect from tank to cpu or gpu The loop you design will bring temp back up to ember temperature You loss out on your tank idea Water warm before it get to the system No bad words Just being logical God bless you Mick Australia Comment from : @mick00000000002 |
I like your Idea, but I'd prefer to have that water tank sealed and/or moved a good bit away from my laptop Made some bad memories by having a cup of coffee to close to a Laptop i really regret losing that way Got a lit up keyboard for it not long before that happened😅 Comment from : @sihilius |
Hermano patenta tu idea pero sube el voltaje de los ventiladores para que giren más rápido Comment from : @JOSEIV |
Loved your Whoaaaaaaaa cooler !! brSubbed !br🇮🇳 Comment from : @abc_cba |
what software used to check the result? Comment from : @mohamadhariz9613 |
It looks awesome!! I just have a question, about the copper chrod you use, what are the specifications? is there a meter of 10mm x 15mm ? Comment from : @robertovega7815 |
So it's water cooled, air cooler basically Comment from : @yunan9610 |
Can i get a version to buy please?? Getting all this parts in the pace i live are next to impossible I also really need thispls make a version for me to buy Comment from : @nwachukwuanosike5026 |
I am just worried that that the condensation will take place on the copper pipes and the fans will bow moist air That might damage laptop components in the long run (Water damage is a bitch) Comment from : @sumitdubey6478 |
I dont think that heatpipe mod was working efficient unless there is a direct contact to your laptop heatsink Comment from : @KM-kl2wu |
was veryyyyy good thanks ashbrBut why the difference in fps was only 1 ?!!! Comment from : @AminRahimi-1 |
this is awesome, but can see a major potential improvement the coil spring inside the tank is kind of useless as we are using water from tank to circulate inside pipe anyway so no need of extra pipe there just feed in the cold water from bottom of tank and release hot water at the top this will improve the flow, less stress on pump as well as reduce cost of copper pipe Comment from : @ak5054 |
Are you putting ice inthe water to get the sistem cold? Otherwise everithing should be around room temp Comment from : @nd3078 |
Bro is that air pump or water pump? Comment from : @miraclesyt4046 |
won't condensation build up on the pipes due to the temperature difference vs ambient and moist air blow inside the laptop? Comment from : @MrGatz |
Nicely done bud Kinda surprised no one really markets any water cooled laptop pads, even though laptops are designed for mobile use as opposed to a desktop Still would be cool though; no pun intended I’m currently using the Klim mistral with my 173” Dell G7, recently decided to re-enable turbo mode and decided to configure some settings just wish I could get the temps down a bit to an area I’d be satisfied with Was thinking of rigging up some air ducting to the air intake ports and trying out one of those “Arctic Air” As Seen on Tv coolers lol My cooling pad only has the two fans as opposed to your setup so I don’t think bending some copper tubing and ziptieing it inside the area the laptop rests atop of would work for my set up Comment from : @OneStopShopGarage |
Next would be for you is to put in custom fans that have high rpm!brAlso please do check out the iets gt 500 laptop cooler 5000rpm Comment from : @Spectrical |
Amazing, I can't do it, but is a nice tip Comment from : @pica-pau4581 |
Cool Comment from : @ragulkarthik7018 |
Oh my god i might do this lol! Comment from : @watermelon2552 |
That’s so awesome! Would be interesting to know what the difference in average fps is over a gaming session Minus 20 degrees is sooo good for the longevity of the cpu and gpu though Comment from : @tovexd |
Pretty Nice! Comment from : @connorwight |
