Thanks for this Laura!! Drooling over the finished product I am waiting for my dough to rise as of typing this comment I was just worried since my dough is too soft to handle I was not able to form it into a ball before putting it in a greased bowl I used 2tsps of yeast and used a hand mixer with dough hook attachment and mixed the dough for about 10minutes on high What do you think could have gone wrong? Thank you

Yeast will actually work with cold water or milk, it will just take longer, which is something you want for some breads I never activate my yeast and I've always had my dough rise; the only thing I will make sure to do is not letting the yeast touch the salt because that will actually kill it
