Pretty sure, in the settlement agreement, (which you can read online) it was pointed out that the $850 million that Tether lost access to, they still didn't have access to at the time of settlement but I guess the NYAG had 185 million reasons and a ban on NY tether trading to settle for The NYAG also pointed out in the court document that the owners of Tether had lied and deceived the public on numerous occasions (they gave examples) They still have to report quarterly financial info to the NYAG and the short document with two pie charts they turned in very recently (5-18-21 I think) with no corroborating data might result in a reopening of the investigation but time will tell Facts aren't FUD

Tether may be fully backed for the moment, but anybody who trusts these guys and continues to use tether is playing with fire in my opinion Two years will pass soon enough, and the NYAG has exposed the kinds of moves the owners of Tether and Bitfinex are willing to make There are plenty of other stable coins around, dump tether
