If you want to upgrade CPU air cooler, what would recommend? I want an upright cooler so I was thinking of a Noctua NH-U9S or Noctua NH-U9L (those are the only ones that will fit the case)? Or do you recommend another one?

The Rosewill hot swap drive cages are known to have catastroph9c faikures and to cause data loss brbrI would get rid of that and get Icydock or iStarUSA cages instead

Did you have any issues with the hard drive cage and getting it installed into the server chassis? I only ask cause I purchased this setup and the hard drive hot-swap bay and I am having the hardest time getting the cage installed

When you label your cords and bays, why not do so by their disk number (starting from 0) or drive name (ie sta, stb, etc)?

the cross beam has nothing to do with structure its specifically for securing expansion cards

Why use purple drives? UniFi video/protect won't utilize the extra features those drives provide and you could save a good amount of money by buying red drives

Should have put the hot-swap drive cage on the unused right side of the case by turning it sideways That's how I configured mine

Every time I go to build a NVR, NAS server and GPU mining rigs, I look at using a Rosewill cases Which I have used a couple of variations of their 4U cases, each one needed too many modifications Such as their stock fans are crap So more often than not for NVR and NAS, I end up building out on 2U Dell r510, r710, r720xd platforms that all support (12) 35" hot swap drives and dual hot swap power supplies Off ebay and other places you can't beat the used prizes

If you're like me and only have room for a short depth rackbe careful in picking a hotswap drive cage, they are much longer than you think and you might end up having virtually no room for cabling

You might have used a 40' shipping container as a case as well Look at HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen 10 (2U) for example and compare the storage/compute density

Why not just buy a Dell R720x and use that ? Just add drives You'll get box ready to go redundancy psu's 2u chassis and no fussing around with building :)

Did you actually build this system for a client? It does not seem terribly space efficient nor in need of such huge amounts of cooling It could be silent, I guess, but would anyone (besides us nerds, who would build our own) keep a system rack in their living space?
