I've learned that if you put too much trust in Cash ect you will lose because the dollar loses it's value more and more every day I'm starting to lean more towards silver bars and rounds because the premiums on silver eagles ect are higher I like the Canadian maple leaf's, kangaroos as well i can't afford gold that is why I primarily collect silver paper money is primarily worthless the dollar is worth around 50 cents or less now but in the 80's and 90',s it was worth more but with inflation like we have today it makes the dollar worth even less the more they print the more worthless it becomes silver and gold is the best choice

If the world goes to ruins though… I don’t think silver or gold will hold their value No one is going to trade food, fresh water or survival tools for a hunk of metal… they are going to trade it for things they need to survive This only would work on people who believed the world would return to normal and they would become rich after the chaos calms down Those same people would also have a stock pile of food and water, etc because if they didn’t, I’d hope they wouldn’t be stupid enough to trade the small amount they had for metal on a pipe dream

If your starting out I recommend looking into your state and federal taxes when buying and selling For example I'm in CA and when buying precious metals there is no sales taxes if I spend $1,500 or more, another example is selling certain coins some have capital gains taxes, some don't and some after a certain dollar face value amount Good luck with your stack and think long term

I think if you're using the silver and gold for shtf smaller amounts would be better what if you don't need to spend 1 oz better to have smaller sizes and if you have enough smaller pieces than I would say it would be okay to get bigger ones for a first-time starter that's what I would recommend especially in the times we live

Great vid I have been stacking silver for about 20 years I didn't know about the Goldbacks, I think they would be great to buy as birthday presents for my adult children, and they look cool too Ebay is a good place to buy silver - so long as it is 'Junk' silver and you know your stuff when it comes to the coins and denominations of the countries of your home country For example, I'm from Britain All silver coinage from before 1920 is 'sterling' silver, ie 925 per cent silver I am pretty much certain that, say, a 1915 shilling (about one fifth of an ounce) is a pretty good deal at about $7 I'm sure that the same applies to US coins pre 1964 I buy silver 1 oz from ebay too, but I know how to test for fakes I find it is wise to avoid Chinese coins
