Its a mental block BUT, do enought dm's, and I mean ridiculous amounts, your aim will be ungodly, and taping people on the head will become second naturebreventually that will translate to be an often thing for you in games, and you will shoot better at games, so ye, continue death matching, best practice there is

For me it’s the opposite I dont have much experience yet with valorant so I am slowly being able to keep my aim locked onto their heads In Unrated or Comps I can easily maneuver and keep my aim focused on their heads but when I play DM I literally just spam and spray bullets 😭

another thing is that some people dont realize that they die a lot maybe they just see them getting headshots and a lot of kills since you respawn right away, if you have more deaths or even just the same amount as your kills it would indicate in matches that you'll lose your gun fights most of the time or lose them with a 50/50 chance, but in matches you respawn after the round and it takes much longer so dying matters more in it or its at least more noticeable and more frustrating

In other ways don't rely on dm to improve since ppl move in a weird way and keep going left and right no stop while on normal games they just peek and they r there for the taking if u can headshot u will kinda destroy ur muscle memory maybe aim labs or the range and there r tons of ways to practice ur aiming there

Isn't it like have been proven when hes still active at CSGO pro scene? He got crazy one tap, but mostly it was spray in matchmaking This pattern happens a lot with many CS pub star with crazy aim and one taps Another example would be XANTARES, he got crazy ona tap, flicks, etc but in many matches outside DM he would be spraying a lot and questionable duels because of his many hours playing DM

I use to run and gun with a classic in deathmatch Got first a few times It helped in normal games by making me shit better with the classic also I could not translate vandal andbrPhantom kills in deathmatch as I can't run and gun in normals/ranked My accuracy did get better though Usually I do deathmatch as a warm up for aiming

I notice people play really well in DMs because they either play extremely confidently like TenZ explained, or they only hold angles and play with max volume to listen for footsteps In a real match your enemies won’t just be brainlessly running around making noise so they end up underperforming in matches

I swear I'm always in reverse I often dominate or at least got second fragger in real matches Unrated or Comp but always in top 10 in DMs Spike Rush on the other hand I'm almost 100 always top fragger win or lost This might be just me but my experience proves that DM are different than real matchesbrbrEdit : I'm specifically talking about my aiming, positions, crosshair placement and basically things that are important to get safe and easy kills that can help me to get a win

usually, the winners in the dm's I play are the dudes who hold angles and wait for people to walk into their crosshairs, or they sound whore When they get in the game, they get destroyed because they don't know how to peak angles and get kills

only goal of a dm is to warm up/get kills in a real match the only thing that matters is winning a round and you get a bonus if you win a round while keeping your gun, not hard to get kills on people that take dumb peeks because theyre only playing for kills

its probably because in the back of your head you keep thinking the stakes are high when you die but in dm you kinda do what every you want and that high stakes mentality in actual matches is just blocking all your practice in dm so to counter this you just need to trust yourself many people still can't even trust themselves took 2 years to get my confidence back after being harrassed everyday in school
