Your static method description is good It is an organizational thing The reason you make a static method and not a separate function is because the object brings the function with it Otherwise, if a user wants to use the function, they have to find it, with something like:brbr>>>getattr(inst__module__, "func")brbrwhich is much harder than:brbr>>>instfunc

I took the OOP course in CS with Java and I can say this sums up at least half of what we saw in a whole semester Of course you need to do your own exercises to really learn it but the information here is really concise instead of going through unnecessary abstractions to make this a 5h video
