Scar is probably my favorite Predator ever, and I'm disappointed he didn't survive the whole movie I especially loved how he joined forces with the surviving human protagonist, was so impressed by her that he fully inducted her into his clan as a fellow newly-blooded hunter, and even had a bit of a trickster personality in playing a prank on her with the tongue-mouth nerve Someone had to have done that to him before, perhaps a teacher or mentor similarly pranking him A pity Lex didn't get to join the Yautja clan the way Machiko did in the comics

It's not so much he cared for Lex as he respected her actions killing that alien, also in the comics his name wasn't Scar it was the Broken Tusk Warrior; due to one of his tusk/teeth being broken off, of course that isn't the case here but I digress There are some similarities to the 4-part comic series & this movie being the main female's name was Lex and her & a predator fought together to defeat the aliens & its queen

Some of the lore images out there of the Hunter god of life Paya show a huge hunter wielding a spear tipped with xeno-tail and a queen xeno head as a shield Essentially Scar just made Lex into the avatar of his goddess
