I'm autistic The forced socialization of going to a school, I believe, did a lot of damage I never had any trouble with learning but I had a lot of other problems with the school environment Having to deal with strangers and pretend to be "normal" every single day because I knew people there weren't familiar enough with my issues to understand me, having my anxiety misinterpreted as disobedience and/or manipulation, I was bullied by other kids AND by some of my teachers I would have been much better off homeschooled and allowed to socialize at my church instead I socialized better there because there were less kids and people who knew me and loved me as I was I would have been just fine Comment from : Weeping Willow
