My son is not one to interact with others I have to do the talking to the other kids and he will very slowly join in but tries hiding behind me for the conversation 😢brHe is very well spoken and his teachers always tell us he has a very extended vocabulary brIt’s great The interaction part is the area I’m most concerned with 🤕 Comment from : @TheCoCoBully |

One of our little girls at playgroup is homeschooled and she is the most social child out of the whole playgroup She is very talkative, constantly making friends and is very interactive brbrHome schooled literally just means taught at home she makes friends through playgroup, extra curricular activities and mom's friend's kids Comment from : @sarahburke96 |

As a homeschooled child myself, I would say that it depends on the child and their personality Me and my sister are both homeschooled, and we both have completely different personalities and social skills I was always the introverted shy kid without social skills (so basically the homeschooled kid standard) and she was always the extroverted talkative person who was always making new friends So honestly no matter if your child is homeschooled or not, they’re gonna have different personalities and social traits Comment from : @Hon3ybeee |
I'm a homeschooling teen, and I couldn't be happier I have a ton of friends of all different ages From baby to 90 some years old No joke!! Comment from : @user-bu5li3xs6f |
People who say that are simple-minded and extremely surface level individuals They lack logic completely and have 0 evidence to back up their false claims Never take anything those ignorant type of people say seriously! Comment from : @Vasquez213 |
Going to school may severely cause social anxiety due to bullies Mean and miserable middle-aged teachers are bullies there, too Home schooling can allow the child to grow up without those obstacles However, there is a very odd and weird way that most Americans (sensory types) think Being an introvert is never a bad thing In fact, it's a good thing Wouldn't every parent prefer their daughter to be more on the introverted and reserved side vs being a loose goose, busting it open on OF 🥴 Comment from : @Vasquez213 |
i was homeschooled and got like a couple hours of socialization with other people every week 😭 Comment from : @Ars0nist05 |
Actually it depends on the parents because I haven’t socialized with basically anyone my whole life besides family I am forced to just do school all day for almost 12 hours straight and I basically pass out when I go to bed because of how tired I get Comment from : @Itsbabyaubrey |

Well it rly depends on how the parents structure the homeschooling I’m sure there really are some kids that struggle socially & some parents that don’t rly put in the effort to foster these skills, but good on this mom for being proactive in having her daughter practice from a young age 🔥 Comment from : @MaddieFishblob |

Song? Comment from : @Virability |
That’s just the personality of some kids I was homeschooled 4th-6th grade and before that I was a social little girl, but being homeschool caused a decline in my social skills and I completely shut down To this day, my social skills still don’t add up to how they were before I was homeschooled Though I went back last year, and school has helped a little bit, but still isn’t the same Comment from : @lindsxlq |
I go to school and have my mom talk for me…… Comment from : @LANEUALSTBLW-jz7sf |
One of my arguments for home education was that my children were interacting with people of all ages and when they go into the work place they aren't separated into age categories! Comment from : @rhyfelwrDuw |
Homeschooling is what supported me through my life Homeschooling is what made me social Comment from : @ashergaming6295 |

I homeschool My kids can function outside of a highly curated, child-centric environment They don’t see the world as being separated into people with authority and people without it Everything isn’t about pecking order and power structures, but about connection This is the kind of socialization the world needs Comment from : @annaandjuju |
it fine to have part time play, seem like learningg with some what serious intentions of acrually wanting to learn went out like the bang theoryplay time centrual Comment from : @user-bp9s |

Im homeschooled, and i havent had a human interaction in 4 years My mother locks me in the house and i can only contact my one and only friend through messages, i never am alooud to leave home I was taught speaking up was talking back So i cant experience any healthy relationships with people, because my mom is toxic and emotionally abusive Id do anything to go to a public school Comment from : @chemistry_freak |
YES there is a study that home school kids have a harder time to get to learn new friends the older they get So going from being homeschooled to college is gonna be hard when they are older, not only because of socila aspect Comment from : @kathleenschoultz |
That’s not the same has interacting and playing with kids her own age Or problem solving with kids her age And my fav was seeing how my peers dressed Comment from : @Valley__ |
If you are homeschooled 👇 Comment from : @RyantheCreator2000 |
The school age kids are the ones you need to worry about and it's half of them causing riots with their school mates across the country and a lot of major inner city communities They are murdering people at alarming rates They're not learning anything at all except how to become more criminals and rebel against their parents Comment from : @witcheswarlocksworldwide2244 |

My daughter is 3 now and soon to be homeschooled She was really well spoken since she was 2 Ever since she has ordered her food when we go to restaurants, high fived older and random kids for no reason, she says hi to older people and have conversations with them I was my whole life in school all the way up to college and I was NEVER like her (not even now 😂😂) Comment from : @paodovalina7614 |
The last thing you want is a kid that doesn't socialize with people their age but adults Comment from : @user-zf2wz5rp8d |
Putting a child in a classroom with 20 peers of the same age is not socializationit’s survival of the fittest There’s a reason homeschoolers are generally more secure in life Comment from : @led4131 |

Homeschool children are more social than public school😊 Comment from : @rationalbeleiverz8195 |
Homeschooled children obviously have a much greater opportunity to learn social skills and to learn to be a mature godly person, because they are around adults and children and not being raised by a bunch of sane age peers!! God never planned for people to spend enormous amounts of time away from family and God given family and Church families and neighbors! America and the world has really screwed things up, raising their children to pursue money (school/college/career), and self pleasure, instead of pursue Christ and His love for all people🥰🙏! Time to wake up and pull your children from the beast system and learn and follow Gods KJV bible, before it is too late🙏 Comment from : @veritaslux644 |
Absolutely The homeschool kids I work with are great! Comment from : @comedyveep |
People act as if homeschooling kids is just keeping them locked inside all day… they can still 100 be socially active the rest of the day that they’re not learning/in school My kids will be going on field trips, will be involved in anything they seem interested in The public school system is a joke… and honestly I HATED public school If they want to go 9th-12th I do not mind at all Just to experience it, sure But it’s not something they’ll be used too, and if they end up not liking it, they won’t be going back and they’ll be graduating early After their highschool career K-12 years are over They can do whatever they please, they’ll know better There is NOTHING wrong with homeschooling I applaud it❤️ I wish it was normalized more:) Comment from : @Abails |
My daughter has mental health problems, and anxiety problems, and suicidal, because of school she has been traumatised , home schooing is alot better and she is happier Comment from : @bernadettekenaghan3246 |

Right now I've been in school for my hole life (I'm in gr 6rn but pretty much 7) and I can't even socialize like that and I've been to school all my life Right now it's feeling really hard to go to school My therapist and dad keep saying that if I just go and push through it, it'll get better It's not really I've been going half days or not at all I've tried to just go and if something happens, just to push through, but now it's just turned into me trying to hold in a panic attack while I text my mom to pick me up Every morning it's harder and harder My mom thinks homeschooling would be a good idea At least for the whole year of gr 7 I don't know what to think It would be nice My dad suggested that since the summer is soon I could just figure my life out them and it'll be fine But I just think I'd end up saying U have 2 months to fix urself better do a good job and I'd worry about it anyway Is homeschool worth it?? Everyone says I won't socialize but idk Comment from : @Cat3210Umai |
You rock mommy keep up the good work She's very articulate Comment from : @vulnerableconfessions4898 |
My children socialize more since we started homeschooling We have more time for playdates, meetups and sports When they were in school, it was practically by appt that we had to schedule a playdate and outside of school we only saw these kids and their parents at an occasional Bday party😅 Comment from : @serenadarling4100 |
I agree!brI think its because they actually spend more time interacting with others and not spending almost 8 hours a day in a classroom I also think other children's behavior have a major impact on a child that is discovering themselves They can be who they want without constant contact with so many different personalities that impact their own Comment from : @lunascraftyquest2369 |
It's so true Comment from : @tobeornottobe9689 |
personally for me, public school damaged my social skills Comment from : @inezaa |
Yes but how does she do when mom and dad aren't there?brThey won't always be there as she gets olderbrRight now, she's a kid accompanied by her parents, so she will of course feel protected and will feel ok about being outgoing brShe can say awkward things to her parents and they will be nurturing and caring, but what happens when she says awkward things around children her age, especially when she gets older?brWill she take it all in stride, or be unable to cope because mommy and daddy did not prepare her for how harsh the world can be? Comment from : @avery1234530 |
As being a homeschool kid myself, I have had some pretty jerky people But because I am homeschooled, I have been shy, but have FANTASTICALLY improved in the last year or so with more social interaction! Comment from : @Jman155 |

Homeschool children typically do better socially than public school children Can look up the research easily on google I mean, with how much of a shiethole public school is, it's no wonder why Comment from : @GeneghisKhan |
I guess it could go either way, but a lot depends on your personality I went to school and I was quiet and shy My kids are homeschooled and they are all different level of loud and louder I think it's helps not dealing the crappy kids at school, there's no bullying, my kids don't doubt themselves They aren't hung up on comparing themselves to how other people look or what they wear They are just themselves and perfectly fine with that I'm in my 40's and still don't have that Comment from : @sweetpie7919 |
She is just toooo precious Comment from : @spicynerd644 |

Look I’m a homeschooled teenager, and by the time your child is in high school they won’t have social skillsbrbrWhen I was younger I was very social but as I grew I’ve had many insecurities and have become socially awkward I Tend to enjoy talking to adults instead of kids my agebrbrI love homeschool, but just make sure your child is spending time with kids her age Comment from : @Rovza |
