I was playing 2HG prerelease and pulled Fraying Sanity promo, along with 2 more in our packs so I had to do it and played U/B mill 1st round got one opponent to 1 card before partner beat for the win 3rd round I actually milled someone for the victory Promo Fraying Sanity was my turn 3 drop every game! You guys are great! I love the team energy I pulled Oketra's Last Mercy, and I'd say it's worse than Hazoret's Card because going from 10 life to 20 life with no answers to your opponent's sick Hydra is procrastinating your demise big time I pulled it as my promo and almost ripped it up after side boarding it out Not made for limited format advisory was missing from my sealed kit Comment from : @ditcher1599 |

Scavenger Grounds - Kills Eternalize/Embalm, 2 super valuable abilities Also, its a desert, so it has a few synergies with other cardsbrbrSolemnity - At least its sideboardable in white Also, it makes Lethal Sting, an extremely good black common, impossible to playbrbrHazoret's Undying Fury - If Marshall Sutcliffe would run it in limited, I would too (sadly, he didn't have enough red)brbrHour of Promise - If you have 3 deserts, chances are you got one before this card Deserts are common It is an Explosive Vegetation, with one more mana for 2 2/2s brbrRamunap Excavator - 2/3 for 3 with small upside Sure, its not rare-worthy for limited, but it surely is playablebrbrFraying Sanity - In any slower deck, this 3 mana card wins you the game outright Every creature you kill, every instant/sorcery they cast, mills them It is somewhat niche, but it carries those niche decks so well Comment from : @mistahflav5209 |

Honeslty i am not bummed about solemnity i see lots of uses for that card now if i have it and no -1/-1 creatures than yeah a lil bummed but the ability to totally wreck my opponent's -1/-1 removal plans makes me not so sad I agree Hostile desert s bad but you can exile ANY land for it so if you discard basics they work also I fully agree on hour of promise as there are not enough playable deserts in the set even there are only 7 and 5 of those you never want to play but you want to cycle the lands with cycling are not meant to be played Comment from : @mikevitrosoo621 |

Most of these cards aren't great, but there's one I believe you might be underestimating Hour of Promise doesn't have to put zombies on the field to be relevant (Although it's awesome when it does) Think of it as an Explosive Vegetation that costs one more, but you don't have to grab basics There are many ramp cards in both Amonkhet and Hour, so you're casting it on turn four pretty often anyways Kaladesh and Aether revolt were very, very fast However, this new prerelease is slow enough to make ramp a viable strategy I won't call it a super strong card, but I think it's better that what you give it credit for Comment from : @bwineylionart2668 |

Also a lot of the lands have sac land do ability so at least the 2/3 snake can do that a bunch like the red dessert land reusable high cost shock seems ok in limited or even reusable giant growth Not horrible not great but playable plus you just pulled crucible of worlds I would be happy with that Comment from : @Small_Panda |

Bad call on some of these The graveyard hate land stands out immediately as a solid card in our current limited format I mean every single color has powerful cards that play out of the yard at common and uncommon rarities and some of the most game breaking bombs in the format such as the cursed gods, Lily and the top end eternalize and embalm critters all utilize the graveyard in this block The build around cost is also quite negligible for a single colorless land that doesn't come in tapped Comment from : @OnlyZunkin |

I am strongly inclined to say you are wrong for some because some of these cards could work despite "corner cases" as you stated For example, even though you failed to say this, Solemnity COMPLETELY hoses energy decks Even with Marvel banned, this still strangles temur energy and walking ballistas l also COMPLETELY disagree with Ramunap Excavator choice This is a GREAT card This is crucible of worlds creature It combos with so many cards in this set, and doesn't even have to happen in Christmas land Hopefully i won't be judged too hard for this comment as i am just sharing my opinion in and honest debate Comment from : @professuh2618 |

hazorets undying fury is designed to be used as a last resort, clearly, as a means of winning the game that turn or the next you'd use when you're out of cards to play anyway, and hope you got big creatures or damage spells (its a last resort, so you should be using it when you're out of cards and your opponent is on 4 life or less, but you just cant get past their defences) you're massively underrating it Comment from : @enapets1 |

I wouldn't put Ramunap Excavator on here A 3 mana 2/3 isn't atrocious stats, and it can get you a bit of upside with not a lot of work It'll never be great, and will even be cut a lot of the time, but there are much worse rares that could take the spot What about Apocalypse Demon? Scavenger Grounds is a strong card, you can stop using his embalm and eternalize his creatures, this generates a ton of value only for loosing a land against 2-3 creatures in the opponent graveyard, if you're going to play 2 colors, this doesnt affect your mana pool, so if you have 1 i think using it is very useful Also if you see your opponent dont use embalm or eternalize cards, you can replace it for a basic land in the second and third match Comment from : @nicolasalejandrovanryssegh6946 |

I drafted a sultai defender mill deck in rtr it was so dump and oddly fun cause 2 door keepers and 4 axe bane guardian was silly, i missed out on 1 other door keeper and a codex shredder cause a friend of mine wanted to do a janky mill deck with the aura that milled if you tapped But i was running defenders that could attack if i had guildgates as a back up win con I ended up with the turbo version of what he wanted to do and i pivoted into defenders after getting 2 axe banes Comment from : @khalidmubarak3879 |

I think your underestimating Hazoret's Undying Fury If it is the last card left in your hand or you are top-decking, this lets you cast the next 4 turns worth of draws this turn Sure, you don't cast anything next turn, but you should have already done what you would have with the next turn's card (and the 3 following turns' cards) THIS turn Assuming you haven't manipulated your deck (scry, etc), the shuffle doesn't change the fact that your next 4 cards are random cards from your deck Rather than saying this puts you back a turn, I think, if you are in top deck mode, this has the net effect of putting you ahead 2 turns I would run this in any aggressive red or red/x deck that otherwise tops out at a 5 CMC Comment from : @jasonmolisani1864 |
