hi all Anyone knows if the version can impact the HR ? I got some 3090 en pcie x1 to 4 pcie x16 riser and the card does appro 112 MH with se same settings than the one wich is on a PCI x 16, but this last one got 120 MH Both FE And vram under 110 °C mayvbe my pcie riser Version 3 is not good any idea ? thx ! I'd read that it was always best to use 6pin PCIe with 4pin molex second, but to avoid SATA completely The GPU draws its first 75w from the PCIe slot and whilst 6pin is fine for this, SATA is designed for peripherals (ie hard drives which draw considerably less power) and is therefore unsuitable for this purposebrbrIn any case considering how simple a device a PCIe riser is, it's amazing how many variants there are! My first 3 were Ver 006C (bought for £11 each from Overclockers): they're ok other than that the USB cables are overly long and chunky I also bought a 6 pack of Ver 009S (black/red with 2x6pin & 1x4pin) for about £50 These seem a little nicer and the cables were shorter/less chunky That said, considering the flaky reputation of risers, so far all of mine have worked ok Comment from : Norliss |
