Serious question,if bitcoin ever competes with the dollar why would the US tolerate its existence? It seems more likely to me that bitcoin has become a pressure relief valve The money that would normally go into gold and silver during a dollar downturn has went into bitcoin keeping the price of the PM’S lower, thereby making the dollar appear stronger If it is ever widely adopted as to compete with the dollar it would be outlawed and tracked

For the first time I disagree with you for the following reasons: Some AI tech may one day inflate the bitcoin, Some Asteroid may strike earth and demagnetize the blockchain computers, thus erasing the bitcoin, Another cryptocurrency may overtake bitcoin in terms of popularity Gold lasts forever, provides the best anchor and confidence Concerning convenience, bitcoin is better What about crypto backed by gold? Not a good idea in my opinion Gold coins the best choice
