For me the subdivide modifier set to adaptive curvature takes like 45 minutes(sometimes 3Ds Max even crashes) to subdivide a 8k polygon mesh Its not useable for me on a ryzen 3700x

excellent tutorial Tons of useful infos and new modifiers I totally missed GreatbrI was ready to abandon Max forever But damn, this new Retopology modifier destroys every other auto retopo tool The results are outstandingly close to what I'd do by manually retopologizing Except here you get the result in seconds instead of days

Thanks, this tutorial is very helpful Just a note though, I've been playing with Retopology today on my own scanned models, and I like the results from QuadriFlow better than Reform especially when there's more polygon reduction involved YMMV of course
