One thing you looked over was picking what part of the car you want in focus/sharp if a car is coming through a turn each part of the car is moving at slightly different speeds So if you want the driver or the front of the car sharp aim the Focus point there

here some more tips;br-hold your camera and steady with hands, dont move your hands make your turn move with waistbr-use burst mode on shootingbr-if you got problem with keeping camera steady, you may use monopod It will be handybr- ND filters might be needed if you shooting on sunny days cus shooting on wide aperture

Absolutely manual focus simply pre focus on an specific location and follow the target andpping a few shots in the target zonebrbrI've had wonderful results from all sorts of racing to even drift competitions

Nice when I was a pro at this for years doing the car experience days people always wanted to see themselves inside the car so watch the a pillars not cover the face setup was always 300mm prime, polariser filter, spot focus, no time for editing So car at 75 frame get low to increase background distance rattle off 2 or 3 per pass and the most important angle the camera at about 35 degrees from level left or right I was prevvy to some pretty dangerous locations though looking back I’m surprised I’m still here lol

for old canon camera, it doesn't have focus peaking, like my canon 7d, but if you install magic latern, you can have the focus peaking on your old camera

You forgot to mention it even discuss what shutter speed you should use I can't remember the rule anymore (I came here in hopes to be reminded of it 😅), but I think it was something like if subject moved 20 kph, you set it for 1/60 or something(?) in order to ensure a nice directional blur effect Or I could be completely wrong 🤔

Most of the photography I do is for MTB and motocross and allot of the time my subjects are moving at 30-40 Kmh so I've found a good shutter speed to create motion on a picture without sacrificing image quality is around 1/800
