when my psvita 2000 charges but after when i turn it on it doesn't charge and ive opened it and all i can see is good condition the charging port is a bit loose but when its off its fine could you help me

You can scrape board slightly with exacto knife and solder to it directly

Clean your tip, let the board cool down and use plenty of good flux to clean out mounting holes

i know this video is now 4 years old but just wanted to say that i had so many vitas for repair and it amazes me that the batteries on them are very very good, i didnt have one with a bad battery yet to be honestbryeah of course they do get less life out of them but i didnt see any swell up or not turn on because of a broken battery

you cannot melt tre solder because you lack wattage in your soldering iron hence sticking of the tip in molten solder

hi actually i also have a ps vita with the exact same problem and 2 other problems , my 6 year old brother threw it couple times on the floor so the memeory card maybe got damaged cuz all my games and pics got wiped and the joystick stopped working so we kept it away but after a few months it stopped charging or working altogetherbrI live in india i would love to send it your way to fix it :D

large copper land (pcb) plus the metal of the port, all drains the heat away be careful you dont melt the port

Hi, i have a problem with my vita slim, and i can't find any solution A couple days ago i replaced usb port and firstly i thought that everything is ok But it's not everything I can transfer files through usb But can't charge vita Strange thing is when i connect usb cable orange indicator light solid, and green bolts appear on battery icon But it won't charge at all Probably i broke something when i replaced old port, but i don't know what could it be :( brAnyone has an idea what can i do to fix or at least diagnose this?brSorry for my English, it's not my native Please correct me if I make any mistake

The soldering irons on those cheap rework stations are terriblebrThe best cheap soldering iron I have ever had and still use, is the Bakon 950D with a T12 handle £35

To clean the holes put the motherboard at the edge of the table, half motherboard out (the part with the holes), put your iron on the top an the sucker on the bottom, that's the better

Hey my mate VINCE, I could use your help with my PS Vita either through me sending it to you or you just helping me out through instructions But I have totally disassembled my PS Vita (PCH-2000) and everything seems perfectly normal It only charges when it's turned off and only for a few seconds there's no corrosion or water damage it looks clean and perfectly fine I have no clue as to what the issue is, but you're more professional than I am So if you see this comment please help me

Congratulations on your successful repairing! You have done a really great job I love that feeling when you can make something to work I have a similar problem when my battery drains for a certain low percentage my vita refuses to charge it up I bought 2 another batteries that worked well until they reached that same critical battery percentage level,too Do you think I have the same problem?

The vita probably uses most of the spare board as a ground plane to help suck away heat from other components because as you've probably noticed, the vita does not have a fan

The best way to remove solder from these plated thru holes, is use a thin drill (1) in a pin vice You break the surface tension of the solder This kit is available from model engineering supplies Just twist the drill in your fingers and it do the job rather than damage the pen with excessive heat

Hey Vince, a little tip for getting solder out of holes use thinner solder braid, I use 12mm Push the braid in the hole with a small tipped iron I do this daily when removing large relays from boards hope this helps Great vids by the way
