I did this same thing myself with a Dell Optiplex 3010 and put XP on it for gaming and it's Amazing, it has a 3rd gen I5 3470 with 8GB ram and I put a 128GB SSD and it's really fast Comment from : Ophidicus

When it comes to Dells and some HPs even there is always a chance of a funny pinout on the power supply The bad thing about that is a standard power supply will fry the board with that funny pinout if you don't know it and don't adapt it (or maybe put the wires in the correct order) Comment from : Charles Hines
