I know alot bout focusing Continues focusing is for a moving subject Single focusing is when you push the shutter and it focuses The distance from your camera to subject A f stop of 2 is faster bigger it I'll get more light than f 22 Comment from : Eddie Venuto |

What happens when using a zoom lens, for example, 24-70? Do you do your calculations based on the most extended focal length of the lens? Or whatever focal length using at that particular time? For example, I’m zoomed in to 35mm Do I do 3x the length you’re at? OR 3x the total focal length of the lens (70mm) No one has clarified this principle for zoom lenses Comment from : A J |
Thank you for guiding me on the moving subjects, I'm in sports photography Comment from : igusman20_YT |

I want to understand why you keep to 1/16sec at a 16mm on still images but 1/600sec on the same still at a 200mm length Comment from : Kwame_yeboah |
Not very amateur photography friendly You should give us visual representation about how to use these techniques We don’t all have the same measurements for our lenses or distance from our subjects All I hear is numbers instead of actually understanding what or why the visual effects change Comment from : Director Omar Cee |

Hi I have no clue about these numbers you mentionis there a video that explains about these numbers please? Comment from : marra entezary |

Hi Very clear and helpful Thank you 🙂✌️ Comment from : Andrew Govan |
You didn't cover firmware, when a camera manufacturer fudges the firmware so third party lenses are seriously soft An example of this is using a Sigma lens [say 120-300 f28] on a Canon R5 when 80 of the images are unusable, possibly because Canon wants you to buy an RF100-500 at a stupid price Incidentally as a professional motorsport photographer for 50 years I don't think I ever used 1/1000, even with a long lens, if the shutter speed is too fast there is no movement, you may as well put the handbrake on Comment from : Blistering Books |
Sharp ? Who cares ?! Comment from : Cirke |

Great video What about when you are using a tripod for stills? Comment from : MR RDCS |
Man thx for this tip I never realized why some of my photos were still blurry when shooting wide open at 18f (old camera body) even though I was dead on the eyes for focus but was still somewhat out of "focus" It's so minimal but very noticeable at the same time and it's very distracting I'm a dad and primarily using my old D5000 to shoot my son I'm shooting indoors a lot so low light is what it is heard great things about this Nikkor budget prime lense but was getting blurry photos, now I know why Comment from : Tom Le |
I think my 5DSR is an exception to this rule I get that little bit unsharpness pretty much no matter what unless it's on tripod, with no wind, and no vibration in the ground, and with a remote heard it has to do with the very high megapixel count on a standard full frame sensor, in combination with a physical shutter Comment from : Kristjan |
I agree, yet disagree AF-C is only helpful if your camer and lens combination do a proper jobbrbrLow light throws most of those advices almost completely out of the window First of AF-C more likely will fail there and exposure times are strongly limited by your cameras maximum ISO value Aperture will be shallow, even if you'd not like it What is missing here for this context is the advice to shoot a lot of photos, to improve your chance to get a sharp one Helps in other situations too Comment from : Maggnet |
Excellent video subscribed so I can pick up more of your stuff Presentation and delivery style excellent Thank you Comment from : Jim Buckley |
