I love the ficus elastica, Ive had successes and failures with this plant I so love the variegated variety I have seen some rubber plants grow with gigantic leaves tall and magnificent and I'm hoping I can some day have one looking like that in my house, the shiny dark leaves look stunning I gather they also require the right growing conditions and at this point, I have only ambient light in my home at certain windows and no sunlight at all as its a north facing house I love your videos Thanks for sharing

Very helpful!brI would call myself an advanced beginner with indoor plants brI just purchased my first rubber tree plant and I and very excided It looks very healthy however, when I brought it home the soil had a horrible rotten egg smell that I did not notice when I bought it from the plant store brI repotted with fresh soil but forgot to run the roots under water I really hope it is strong enough to survive after repotting and new environment I have not watered it yet because I am thinking it would be best to wait a couple of days Do you have any recommendations on keeping it happy and healthy?

If you live in a cold climate I definitely don't recommend watering this frequently I water mine every three weeks if you're using potting soil or slightly more frequently with a chunky aroid mix
