Having grown up in/around the food industry —hearing that some people put entire countertops made of copper in their kitchens, gave me slight anxiety!😬brbrGranted, (please forgive my generalization) most people that have the money to do that, busually/b don’t cook a lot of meals at home…brSo the chances of them accidentally developing acute/chronic copper toxicity from their lovely countertops, is VERY slim brbrHowever, if someone with those counters was a hardcore cook and didn’t know to be more cautious when working with certain foods on it—or that some common cleansers can breakdown the protective barriers very quickly…that could potentially go real bad, real fast😳brbrI know epoxy still suffers from a bit of a lingering negative reputation, because many people don’t know there are “food grade” resins available (like yours)…brBut in all seriousness, for the everyday home cook, having a faux copper counter like this in your kitchen is actually the safer option in the long run!brUnless they know about and don’t mind the slightly “higher maintenance” aspects of real copper ❤️💖brbr(Sorry—I hope my long, rambling comment kinda makes sense…English isn’t my first language!)🥰 Comment from : GloryGlory Hole’allelujah |

Hi @StoneColdCountertops! I stumbled onto your channel and have to say "I took one ueck of a deep breath when I watched your videos ESPECIALLY this video OMG how awesome!!! After watching a few of your videos, I think I know what I want to do when I grow up LOLI'm 66 and about to retire 😂 That being said, my passion is designing and creating DIY unique items for family & friends To supplement my Soc Sec income, I know what I will be doing in my spare time 😂 brbrThank you for sharing the process I know I can do this but I have 1 question: How do you finish the edges/sides that will face outward & show? What prevents the epoxy from "dripping down the side" of what you are making? Do you have a video that explains this procedure? For example, I want to make someone a "cutting board with a natural stone look but has a purple "river" running thru the middle of the piece? Is a mdf "jig or template" created if I am wanting to make a dozen of cutting board?brbrJust a video that shows step by step on how to start the project from scratch to the final piecebrbrMy dad taught me everything from construction to plumbing to electrical, etc He passed in 2020 before I found your channel Oh how I wish he could have see your work and end results! He would have said: "Well damn-it, Fefi (FeeFee) we have to do this!" brbrI hope you see this and respond Thank you in advance brbrJami Hoffmanbra/k/a Fefi & brMiss Muggwamp Comment from : Miss Muggwamp |
