I never want to go back to non modular or semi modular power supplies You cannot upgrade the main motherboard power cables if the motherboard power standards change as I discovered the hard way Can't even use power cable adaptors with it Only power supplies I now buy are Corsair, Silverstone or Thermaltake 1000w fully modular power supplies Never run a PC build that runs a PSU past 75 Comment from : Phillip Mulligan |

4:13 brbrI think I just made a grave error I just bought a SSD and a set of SATA power and data cables I was going off your recommendation in your SSD video and purchased Silicon Power 4 TB SSD When I connected everything, my PC would not turn on I'm not sure if it's because I added cables that weren't the manufacturer's cables or because my rig was getting hot due to using natural sunlight to assemble everything Anywho I'm not entirely sure what the problem is But take this comment as a example Don't make the same mistake I made Now my PC doesn't turn on and I think I just killed my PSU because of it Comment from : Ricky Lozada |

I'm surprised there are no Seasonic models mentioned in this video Isn´t it one of the best PSU brands out there? I've been runing on a Seasonic X-Series 850w for more than 5 years now, great unit Currently I have a 3090 ROG Strix GPU with a 5600x CPU, but i'm aiming for a CPU upgrade next, and some day a 4090, so I would like to be covered on the PSU side
brI was thinking on buying the Seasonic Prime GX-1300, would this be a good choice?brbrThanks for this video btw, very informative as always! Comment from : Jac Lennox |

brSuper Flower Leadex VII XG 850W-166$,1000W-193$

In regard to "gaming" the 80 plus system with "golden units" the 80 Plus testers should take the approach UL does by doing random, unannounced inspections of facilities When a manufacturer agrees to a UL cert, they also agree to these inspections If the manufacturer is caught changing the design, they lose certification and incur penalties The "80 plus" labs should consider doing this Comment from : John Smith |

As my all-time superhereo would always say, “Grrrrreat video!”! At 15:04, you mentioned a 1,300 watt PSU The average 120V 15A AC outlet can output only 1,800 watts So, does that mean pretty soon, a hi-end PC will require a dedicated 20A circuit, just to run properly? WOW! Comment from : Tiberius Tchaikovsky |
Corsair rm750 is good? Comment from : Frundles |
why you not recomended Super Flower? they are top tier PSU makers Comment from : Vusal Mahmudlu |

I have the Odense motherboard by Pegatron which comes in the HP ENVY 750-114 Desktop PC The power supply in the HP ENVY 750-114 is a 300 W uATX aPFC internal power supply I want to upgrade my graphics card to a XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS, which requires a minimum of 500w of power After watching this video, I feel like getting the right power supply or trying to figure out if I can even use a higher PSU on this system is gonna take more research smh Comment from : C Sanders |
Is the deepcool px1000 a good unit? Comment from : Cristian Roșca |
yup, PSU are somehow great investement, as an IT guy that had experience with "exploded electronics"brbryes and about the reviews instead of the listening "directly" from the vendor itself, sometimes a 3rd party reviewer is important, but most of the time making sure those reviewers are not sponsored directly by the vendor that also manufacture the same product they about to reviewbrbrbecause i heard a "rumor" some brands are "faking" their reviews for the sake of market and profits Comment from : Izoru |
my instinct always told me to get x15 more power but i didnt know about the 80 plus certificates i think i'm going to spend more $$$ in PSU in my next upgrade i already have an UPS installed and this is the best buy i ever had i repeat: UPS protection nis a MUST HAVE for all PC USERS Comment from : Master Zed |

With PSUs, I have noticed that they persist across many generations, as their main purpose is to deliver power For this reason, I have almost no budget limit when I am looking for a new PSU I opt for a Titanium-rated PSU with a capacity of 1000W or higher, really the biggest beast of PSU i can physically fit inside my case Why such high capacity? Well, I am sure you have witnessed how power-hungry components have become This way, you will be future-proofed no matter how power-hungry components may get The last PSU i had for 10 years and it was still working like a charm Comment from : Ham ster |
Is the evga supernova p2 850w platinum good as in a tier? Comment from : Illuminati089 |

I would honestly like a video dedicated to deciphering the cultist list, since I absolutely don't expect the average person to understand itbrbri myself even have trouble reading it/remembering what color means what, the difference between a dash '-' and a slash '/', so i just think it'd be helpful, if this list still remains relevant Comment from : G rey |
I’m a huge fan of EVGA One reason being they were the first company with the balls to stick it to NVIDIA and their graphics cards bullcrap Ive used their PSU’s before and liked the brand, but after their gutsy move I decided to almost exclusively use their PSU’s to support them Comment from : AceVenturaXii |

I got burnt by the Cooler Master MWE 2019/2020 edition (presumably the V1), according to Overclockers they used poor bulk capacitors For me it failed after 3 years which was lucky compared to many of the reddit comments about the MWE! So to be safe I'll probably pass on the V2 and I think I'm probably going to try and find the beQuiet Pure instead, they do indeed have quite a strong presence in my area Comment from : Anolaana Seranaar |
I've had two bad PSUs in my life And they were both EVGA BronzebrbrCoincidence? I THINK NOT Comment from : OchaTime |
