Technically, the war between CCP and TAIWAN gov never ended It was officially "ceased fire" around 1979, when the minister of defense of China Xiangqian Xu declared to stop the bombard at Jinmen But the war never officially ended by any agreements It is still the civil war of China

I guess the reason why china haven't invade Taiwan is because its not the right time and the matter haven't got that desperate and urgent; If china is really dead serious about getting Taiwan back, regardless of the conventional weapon, they could deploy strategic nukes in near seas to deter further intervention of USA and its LIKELY USA will backdown; There is no way USA is going to risk a full-on nuclear war with china, NO ONE in USA will agree to do that for a island that is so far far away from americans So its wise not to push too far on china's limits since its only handful of people is in control of china they are not democratic

Because when it comes to China and Taiwan, it's never been an 'invasion' but a CIVIL WAR Take a look at the Constitution of 'Taiwan' or even the passport of 'Taiwan' and you will know that the regime located on Taiwan Island is actually called the Republic of China(ROC), so it's never Taiwan vs China but ROC vs PRC(People's Republic of China), it's the Consitution of the ROC, it's the passport of the ROC Both regimes are still in the civil war that started in 1927 It also explains whoever the leader of Taiwan is, he or she dares not put 'independence of Taiwan' into effect, cuz it will be a violation of the Constitution of the ROC

I don't see the China threat Isn't our media saying that China is about to collapse and that the Chinese economy is failing? Military power without economic support is fragile, just like Russia So what are we worried about?
