@marykohler9281
I don't care how careful you are More than likely someone is going to come near you coughing and sneezing and it's going to happen unexpectedly The only way we all can truly avoid this virus is to just close ourselves up and no human will be able to tolerate that We just can't stop living period

@coreyanderson1457
The cashier would be the only one that would touch the groceries just trying to ring them up But again, hand sanitizer, wash hands Take a course in Infection Control

@margaretr4427
It looked like you sprayed down the counter with a Mrs Meyers spray, as far as I've seen on the label those are not going to kill virusessimilarly the Method cleaning sprays also will not You need a Lysol type spray, Microban, or something with bleach
Comment from : @margaretr4427

@ec9833
And now one month later, we DO need to disinfect cuz, ppl touch their faces and ppl sneeze and cough and talk and don't cover and now we know this thing can last a few days on surfaces Is it super likely? IMO, it's likely enough and you do not know what a person has done to your newly purchased products Especially with so many people not giving a crap and refusing to wear a mask and abide by social distancing protocol Too many of those individuals out there to feel fully hopeful for humanity so, I'm not taking my chances
Comment from : @ec9833

@vanessabayardo9788
I used to wash fruits with water and soap even before the covid era I'm barely learning it's dangerous

What can be done about fresh eggs? How to 'disinfect' them when you bring them home?
Comment from : @lindabarnett7653

@josephklimchock5412
Found a product called Microban, can kill viruses in 5-10 seconds, most Lysol products take 10 MINUTES!!!!!!!!! Not much out there beats this stuff, can find in all stores next to the Lysol and other big branded spraysthis is made by P&Geven says will kill Corona virus on the bottle although probably means the ones before this Covid-19but other than this , alcohol about 70 in a spray bottle works great too, and dries fastdont believe mego to the Microban websitefor more infoabout 350 a regular spray bottle in food stores and Wally Mart

Before you touch any part of your face - wash your hands The question is which is more efficient? Cleaning your groceries every time? Or cleaning your hands every time you touch your face? Which one is more fool proof ?
Comment from : @doomdude69

I would not listen to one thing this lady says - brbrIt's easy to think of it like this brEverything outside bad, keep inside goodbrI won't go into a detail step by step threshold safety plan, but definitely keeping the inside good ( your home) starts just outside your door

@shampoohie
Nope Sorry, I know this video's heart is In the right place but I am following South Korea's advice Going to continue to clean all my groceries Professionals and Doctorates have been wrong, they have put the lives of me and my city in danger They even advised us and told us to go out and eat before the lockdown in here in NYC Not taking anymore chances till more studies come out As we are STILL learning about this virus It's not until a "week ago" we learned about asymptomatic transmission and face coverings Doctors for a month debunked this While studies from China said otherwise western doctors said "it isn't possible!" So ya no thanks I am really tired of being lied to and constantly at risk for exposure I have an autoimmune disease and cannot risk our leaders and Doctors changing their statements week to week Play it safe people
Comment from : @shampoohie

@getrehkt3139
Im wiping everything down and tossing boxes and containers out before bring that shit in my house She wouldn't be saying that shit if she lived in NY Im not risking my kid's health because I was too lazy to toss some shit out or do some cleaning
Comment from : @getrehkt3139

@brianschamehorn175
I wash everything
Comment from : @brianschamehorn175

@Meryamtin
"There's not data if the virus survives in fruits and vegetables surfaces" so why choosing not to clean it!! It's dumb thing to advise for someone that "knowledgeable", until we found out, I choose to clean my vegetables and fruits thank you very much!
Comment from : @Meryamtin

@marishkaspirit
Lots of contradictions in this video And the part of not bringing your own bag made NO sense whatsoever Why not bring your own bag? There wasn't a sensible reason in what she said You SHOULD bring your own bags, you can wash them after and that way you contribute in reducing the pollution problem and also save your money There's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't bring your own bag, on the contrary And I would still sanitize my groceries when I get home You never know who touched it, better safe than sorry Maybe in their logic is not necessary, but certainly it would actually be much safer this way
Comment from : @marishkaspirit

@mikeymidwinter3925
Regardless I wash everything before I store it into my cupboards And for my boxed Goods I empty it and place them into a plastic container that's clean and throw away the cardboard boxes
Comment from : @mikeymidwinter3925

@jlewis122
This is not the best advicebrI don’t know why she is saying thisbrPerhaps if she lived in New York with millions of people she’d have a different opinion people need to be smart and use their best judgement Because listening to people who don’t live your life isn’t smart
Comment from : @jlewis122

@1slamExplained
This Dr maybe right or she maybe wrong which in this case is fairly dangerous Professor Gibson didn't present us with any actual statistics about coronavirus longevity on surfaces People are gullible they will take her advice on face value But caution is always recommendedbrbrShe is entitled to her opinion and maybe the other experts have it wrong but I wouldn't be posting out such videos just by the chance she is mistaken brbrHere are some sources:brOne aspect that has been unclear is exactly how long Sars-CoV-2, the name of the virus that causes the disease Covid-19, can survive outside the human body Some studies on other coronaviruses, including Sars and Mers, found they can survive on metal, glass and plastic for as long as nine days, unless they are properly disinfected Some can even hang around for up to 28 days in low temperaturesbrbrNeeltje van Doremalen, a virologist at the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), and her colleagues at the Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, Montana, have done some of the first tests of how long Sars-CoV-2 can last for on different surfaces Their study, which has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, shows that the virus could survive in droplets for up to three hours after being coughed out into the air Fine droplets between 1-5 micrometres in size – about 30 times smaller than the width of a human hair – can remain airborne for several hours in still airbrIt means that the virus circulating in unfiltered air conditioning systems will only persist for a couple of hours at the most, especially as aerosol droplets tend to settle on surfaces faster in disturbed airbrBut the NIH study found that the Sars-CoV-2 virus survives for longer on cardboard – up to 24 hours – and up to 2-3 days on plastic and stainless-steel surfaces (Learn how to clean your mobile phone properly)brThe findings suggest the virus might last this long on door handles, plastic-coated or laminated worktops and other hard surfaces The researchers did find, however, that copper surfaces tended to kill the virus in about four hoursbrbr wwwbbccom/future/article/20200317-covid-19-how-long-does-the-coronavirus-last-on-surfacesbrbrWHO states April 13th 2020:brIt is not certain how long the virus that causes COVID-19 survives on surfaces, but it seems to behave like other coronaviruses Studies suggest that coronaviruses (including preliminary information on the COVID-19 virus) may persist on surfaces for a few hours or up to several days This may vary under different conditions (eg type of surface, temperature or humidity of the environment)brIf you think a surface may be infected, clean it with simple disinfectant to kill the virus and protect yourself and others Clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, or facebrbrAlso here is a study by the university of California wwwsciencedailycom/releases/2020/03/200320192755htmbrbrThe virus that causes COVID-19 remains for several hours to days on surfaces and in aerosols, a new scientific study has found The study suggests that people may acquire the coronavirus through the air and after touching contaminated objectsbrbrThere are far more experts contradicting what has been said in this video and yes maybe she is right But no one has time to be running several studies in the midst of a pandemic to prove who maybe be right and who maybe wrong (no pun intended) WHO also gets things wrong at times

Comment from : @rydhwan

@evagmn
The only thing I don't agree with is the recommendation about using plastic bags Just use your own bags and keep them clean Anyway if the virus does not survive in dry surfaces why would it survive in your reusable bags?
Comment from : @evagmn

@ting280
You still want to wipe your stuff down because people are licking and spitting on things now, plus those carts and baskets were filthy and never cleaned before corona, they're probably just as dirty now

@johna3909
Calling in an expert and having them share personal opinions instead of scientific research outcomes is the best path to misinformation Personally I follow mostly her way of thinking, but we have no actual idea about how long the virus can last outside of the human body
