I've wanted to like AEW, really, I did, but the product is exactly what it is, it's a bunch of indie wrestlers who have found a platform to be relevant, and older, over the hill, stars have found a place to be relevant They have a cash cow, who just happens to be an indie fan They do some good stuff, but they also do some stuff, that is to me is not And it seems like they do more stuff that is not good The stories tend to make no sense, and they tend to appeal to the fan who is like that Nascar fan who only watches for the crash

Well Eric's position aged well, a year later the WWE has a Bloodline story and numerous feuds, peaking all-time audience A year later AEW debuts Collision with seemingly no outgoing thematic of ratings trends and the same apologists spinning it like it's cool because it's supposed to appeal to fewer people In reality, Eric wants AEW to improve so that wrestling as a whole improves brbrTony Kahn also should hire Eric and the names mentioned- he's yet to improve upon presenting a show and the fact ratings havent gone up significantly is telling

i just got back into wrestling after a 20 something year break and i dont enjoy aew whatsoever i watch it, but im fast forwarding through most of it i dont connect with any of the characters and they dont seem to have any ideas for story telling im not the guy whos interested in watching guys do choreographed moves that dont look like they are fighting for 20 minutesi much prefer wwe

Eric is right Its mostly WWE's head start but AEW's creative is not appealing to casual fans, which I consider myself to be You can tell AEW seeks the 20 to 50 year old who's familiar with wrestling's modern history and think matches and action are better than storylines and believable characters Indie fans, basically WWE still isn't great even with Triple H but its more mainstream, polished, story-driven, diverse and an actual entertaining show not just based on pro wrestling
