FYI on the taxi thing: As of this comment, taxis are flat-rate from to/from airport to certain hotels Rate depends on hotel, but currently caps out at $30

All of this just makes me really dislike Vegas Knowing it’s all about money and scamming people - I can’t see the attraction of Vegas I’ve never seen what people like about it And the transient nature of it scares me It just feels so unsafe

Some slot machines including card video slots, brwill trick the player into paying $10000 for one spin… usually their 1st spin (this is on the strip and even in local restaurants like Buffalo wild wings) brBest advice, don’t put more than a $20 in at any machine and cash out at $40 because it will trick you into a large amount for 1 spin or 1 hand of cards on video poker brIve seen and heard if sooo many being taken for $10000 and even if managers are brought over to address the issue… you wont be able to stop the game for a refund or get your money back brSuch a sneaky tactic!! 😮

I seen a few “street performers” ask for donations saying they’ll eventually get to the performance and literally never dance They just talk and hype it up until the crowd gets bored and leaves naturally They’ve even asked for volunteers to be in one of their acts and instead went down the line and directly pestered the volunteers for donations Once the old crowd leaves they begin the scam with the new crowd
