Sorry if these are dumb questions but I’m very new to ficus parenthood! Do you have multiple planted in the pot? Any tips other than just planting them together? Also, can spider mite damage be a bit bronze colored? Like a smattering of bronze dots like the white/translucent ones you showed on yours? Thank you for this great video!! Comment from : Haylee Upton Robinson |

Great looking plant! My Tineke has one long stem and all the leaves are on top I’m proud to say I have four new leaves forming and keep her in a south facing window w/direct sun Any suggestions on how to get leaves to grow on the bottom? Appreciate your response Comment from : MsVonne |
|
Great video!! I have a small Tineke that is maybe about 1 foot tall It is growing new leaves pretty regularly but now it is starting to have a big lean to one side Do you recommend re-potting and trying to get it straighter? Or do you generally just use a stick to try to keep it straight? Thanks! Comment from : Lauren Soulsby |
|
I really love your Ficus Tineke this one definitely my favourite the variegations Mine i only had it a year and so far doing well and half the size of your one not that tall yet My first winter with this plant i did lose some bottom leaves i was told it can be normal and bottom leaves for some reason not as firm and sturdy there more delicate and not much variegations I think maybe is normal too I notice rubber plants they can have that crystalline bead looking on the leaves does that got to do with the water you give them? I have a small one that I hope to make bushy and grow it large one day brMy ficus Benjamina is right by my back door too and it does fine I’ve had it for over 13 years It’s my favourite common plant and it’s around 6 feet tall ( I trim to contain it lol)brPlease don’t stop adding the dog cameo’s ❤️ Comment from : Latoya Williams |

I had to repot all three of my ficus elastica one week into November because they really needed it This made me nervous being this time of year, but they were still growing and have since grown even more The roots look like I didn’t just repot them 6 weeks ago!! They’ll definitely need it again by spring but that’s a good problem to have!! Cheers! Comment from : Otis Schroeder |

Mine is actually in a north facing window and is perfectly happy Granted, it's only about 18" from the window I'm growing mine like a single stem tree I don't fertilize yet, but I potted it about 6 months ago, and I had worm castings in the mix It's spits out new leaves one right after the other It's one of my favorites and actually won a blue ribbon at the county fair 🙂 Comment from : HowMy GardenGrows |

I'm so envious of all your winter sun! Here near Seattle, we're lucky to get one sunny day a week I'm supplementing with lots of grow lights, but they're nothing compared to direct sunlight My ficus are doing OK, but not nearly as much growth as yours Love your little Tineke forest in a pot Comment from : Kris M |

Remember the zz cutting my friend was giving me? It turned out to be a very young stalk, not fully grown, as I thought It is about 12 inches long, but very young and tender with leaves only on the top half, but quite healthy Do you think I can propagate it? I have it in water for now I had wanted to do stem or leave cuttings but am hesitant because it is not fully developed Any advice? Comment from : Rachel Miller |
|
I love ficus elastica and a few days ago i got some cuttings from my neighbor's huge tree and i am propagating them in water All my windows i can use them for plants are north facing without sun, literally Can i use led lights so my elastica would thrive after the roots develop?
