you can make clothes pins by splitting a short stick partway really old fashioned clothes pins were single piece wood cut up the middle with a fine saw instead of 3 piece, t pieces of shaped wood and a springbrPS most clothes pins found at retail stores today are useless as the springs are way too weak for anything but socks or underwear

How much gear I'm carrying is going to come down to whether I'm using a vehicle or it's so extreme were bugging out on foot Not going to lie, I'm not sticking pest control stuff in my bugout bag - that valuable space wasted I would be most focused on starting a garden asap and finding a safe spot outside city limits to setup

You may not want to use rat poison It will kill the squirrels and others either through eating the rats or eating the poison themselves The squirrels and others may be a food source eventually I hate to say that, but in an emergency better than eating your pet I feed the critters, some make fun of me, but I just say I'm feeding what maybe my food, and for now I enjoy helping them get food also watching them They are all so cute

I've got a few Brace & Bit Sets, some two man crosscut saws, what I call a Brace &Bit Drill Press, a couple draw knives, a couple tools to set the teeth on Saw Blades, American Made Files and various other hand tools My MAG will be able to make lumber from Trees with the Two Man Crosscut Saws which I'm sure will be in High Demand Be safe my friends

Knowledge is the pivotal issue to improving each of our efforts to mitigate SHTF This means as a minimum resource we need Books/Materials to refer to and mitigate long-term areas of weaknesses like : Security, Medical, Nutrition, Food Preservation, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Construction, Gardening, etc The one survival item I would ensure I had was a strong sense of Good Will with my neighbors If I could only choose 1 material item to add to the video's list, I would a Fireman's Jacket

I have a "dental care kit" in my medical kit Its for when a crown falls out, you can mix the components of the 2 bottles together and glue your dental crown back on The reviews said it last for about 1 year bought it on amazon for $40 Figured the dentists may not be around to fix something like that! Stay away from that cheap pharmacy putty for loose caps The cap will fall out after 1 meal of use those $7 puttys

Small urban fishing magnet I think it could come in handy if you drop your knife between some rocks and can't get to it Maybe it would help you find a small screw you dropped in the sand For fun, you could scan lakes, rivers or streams to find other knives or maybe something of value I also don't see laser pointers in prepper videos I think laser pointers make great signalling devices They can also be used to check depth of water or depth of caves They could be used to feint owning a gun with laser pointer to deter an attacker I think animals like bears would run if hit in the eyes with laser pointer You could do this from a safe distance to a bear that may be stalking your camp
