For regular humans all are both difficult and important at the same time No need to choosebrbrI do all my mac is 10 reps on most brAnd I'll do four sets with four completely different grips And on another day 4 reps, same gripbrbrMy favourite, close grip (thumbs touching) I get great forearm and bicep feel when I'm done

I do 4 sets of 20 push ups,3 sets of 15 chin ups, 3 sets of 12 pull ups and some weights every 2 days should I start weighted sets?? Any ideas, 🤔🤔🤔 I'm 6 foot 2 190 pounds

I think pull-ups are more popular than chin-ups because that's the first body weight pulling exercise you're being shown when you're a beginner And also because people want to learn muscle ups, and you gotta be at least decent at pull-ups in order to do muscle ups But for me it's both, pull-ups for back, chin-ups for biceps Though I'm struggling to find the right balance between the two, as said in the video it is not recommended to switch grips every session so working on the two in parallel isn't that simple So far my solution has been to do only a small amont of chin-ups in my pull-ups cycle and vice versa, only a small amount of pulls ups per session when in a chin-up cycle

I lost pull ups because of arm pain, but chin ups and neutral grip pulls are okay Love em, even at 63 After an illness/surgery recovery, it took a full year to get them back, but it was worth it 👍🤪🏳️‍🌈

Weighed at the feet the lower back is in danger unless you are consciously bracing your core It is better to wear a weighted backpack

Just wondering, currenty i'm doing push ups and it is my main home exercise , my question is can pull ups/ chin ups replace push ups cause i don't have enough time to focus on both?Just to mention , I'm more aiming toward aesthetics , which have priority over muscles

A bar you can hang off is literally the only workout tool anyone needs With a beer belly acting as a natural weight vest, I've definitely seen a difference in my body doing pull ups

I’m always switching my grips and how wide and close I go one the bar, but lately I can not stop doing wide regular pull ups The stretch in the back feels so good I gotta snap out of it and get back to the old me 😂

Chin ups are better for back than pull ups, pull ups are for biceps, you can do more chin ups and neutral grip because back does most of the work in those moves

I like what he said about “grind-ability” I’ve been doing mostly pull-ups, but I’ve been caped out at 10 for a while I’ve been arduously crawling up to 12 now Chin ups on the other hand are way easier progress and maintain form I wouldn’t have processed that distinction without this

I love chin-ups but 1 arm chins shouldn’t be a benchmark on bicep strength Most strong men over 180lbs will likely never do a 1 arm chin and are overall stronger than a smaller, lighter man who can do it 1 arm

I do both but I started with chin ups and they're still my priority because I can only do 7-8 right now I can do 3-4 pull ups (which I didn't train for at all, just started doing them when I hit about 4-5 chin ups) I do weighted chin ups even though I can't do many even at bodyweight, because I see a benefit from it I do come down on the side of pull ups when it comes to transferability but as a woman in my 40s who is also a beginner, chin ups are essential and will probably be primary for at least another year for me, and will never go away Plus they feel better to do

Once I did some close grip chin-ups after only doing shoulder width apart pull-ups and chin-ups for a while and I felt like I could fly, so it became my favourite variation

Chin ups for me are the best, because they don't give me elbow problems When I focus too much on pull ups, my tennis elbow starts to talk to me Plus increasing my strength in chins indirectly improves my pull ups I reached a 50kg weighted chin up and could do almost 20 clean pull ups which really surprised me, bacause I do not even train them
