most important in electric is how many amps will your grow draw Never draw more than 80 of the breakers capacity most rooms are on 20 to 30 amp breakers

I added a separate 100amps circuit breakers(2 30amp 2 20amp) just for my grow space so it doesn’t effect anything the house is using It’s its own box

Here's another tip American Wire Gauges (AWG) for extension cords work in reverse Smaller numbers mean thicker wires, because you definitely want ambiguity when dealing with things that can start house fires right? Point is: don't buy cheap, thin cables Also, if your extension cable is hot to the touch, stop using it immediately That's a sure sign that your setup is dangerous Extension cord specs matter

I had an electrictrion built a "pig tail" in my grow I which added 2 extra breakers in my electrical box (240) and 4 individual breakers in my indoor grow which I also use to power my outdoor grow as well 8fans, 3 digital timers ,1 ac unit, 2 - 4x4 LEDs and 3 small veg lights all of the pig tail 🙏🏽🙏🏽👨🏾‍🌾

My power is split between two household circuits I actually have a 12g extension cord running to another room to power my lights The other cord is for my fans/pumps etc on a separate breaker This is the kinda questionable way to do it but its' better than overloading one circuit with it all on one I have tested the runs and the light circuit draws 540w and the fan one is only 280 w so technically I could combine them together

How much do you guys pay for power in the us? In Australia pay per kw per hr so 1000w of use is about 40c a hour so 12/12 of 1000w usage is $480 a day

Question, I have hlg 550 v2 r spec (600watts) vipraspectra p2500 (300watts) and a spider farmer 1000 ( 120 watts) 1020 watts for lights and another 100 I’m guessing for other accessories ( 1120 watts total ) I should be good correct ? Same outlet but different plugs so I’m guessing 550 watts top plug 550 ish watts bottom plug All have timers and high end power strip (80$ from Home Depot ) I figured as long as I’m under 1500 watts I’d be ok 🥂 thanks for taking time in advancebrbr*last run I had no idea what I was doing and hooked up 2 hps 1000watts to same outlet boy did I learn my lesson Made me purchase LEDS 😂😂
