I hope I never do anything like that brbrBut One time when I was a kid, a friend had given me hair lice, and my mom had insisted on putting mayonnaise in my hair like you would a hair mask (combing it in and putting a shower cap over it) It went sour pretty quick and was really horrible But I think that was the point To make the lice throw up until they die? It was the only time that 'cure' was over tried Other lice scares were always easily dealt with by washing my hair with normal shampoo right after finding out br(My mom may have realized the mayo had been hurting me more than it did the lice)(but actually, that wasn't the first time I'd had a lice scare I guess someone had just talked her into trying it that once Even though shampoo had worked in the past)

Back in the 70s it was a common cold/cough treatment for kids/adults to take a shot consisting of lemon juice, some also added hot sauce, honey and vodka at bedtime Tasted better than Nyquil thats for sure

i mean, i know all of the herbs n stuff and people come to me when they dont wanna swallow artificial stuff as medicine, and thats okay if they are not in danger but the amount of people who come here and try to kill cancer or serious digestion problems with herbs is frustrating they always look at me like they see a ghost when i tell them they must go to hospital and accept surgery and any kind of hard medicine or they will most likely die of it

I actually have a story for this in nursing school, I was doing an outpatient wound care rotation An older guy came in after a long absence to the clinic, he had a radiation burn from cancer treatment What had been healing well and shrunk, was, when I saw it, a large gaping wound with a bright green wound bed and was larger than when it started, per the doctor He had been treating it holistically when conventional wound care treatments had been working when he stopped going to the clinic Also, a different older guy had been skin popping heroin and, I guess had fallen on his knees Came into a drug rehab I was working at for admission Prior to flying in, he had bumped his knee, which opened a superficially healed, tunneling wound in his knee and pieces of skin were flipping around I stopped the admit and sent him to the ER, they admitted him I honestly dont know how they let him fly like that considering he was wearing shorts
