I actually have a story for this in nursing school, I was doing an outpatient wound care rotation An older guy came in after a long absence to the clinic, he had a radiation burn from cancer treatment What had been healing well and shrunk, was, when I saw it, a large gaping wound with a bright green wound bed and was larger than when it started, per the doctor He had been treating it holistically when conventional wound care treatments had been working when he stopped going to the clinic Also, a different older guy had been skin popping heroin and, I guess had fallen on his knees Came into a drug rehab I was working at for admission Prior to flying in, he had bumped his knee, which opened a superficially healed, tunneling wound in his knee and pieces of skin were flipping around I stopped the admit and sent him to the ER, they admitted him I honestly dont know how they let him fly like that considering he was wearing shorts Comment from : Half loaf |
