@JSabh
Synthetic fertilizer is just fine lol, everything this guy said has been disproven in recent years by Bruce B and Harleywith actual science Ironically, organic fertilizer is a worse pollutant because it is uncontrollable depending on the microbes Freaking idiots man And the metal stuff is BS too, the plant will only use what it needs What do you think plants do? Absorbe anything like a sponge? Nope, the plants will eat what they need and only that
Comment from : @JSabh

I'm sorry but he's wrong he's a environmentalists / Garden organic person and that's fine but it's not really necessary if that's his belief that's fine but synthetic fertilizers are also okay when used correctly and by the way plants need iron heavy metals also

@goldslinger
He is being a bit paranoid on most of the topics, especially commercial fertilizers which perform much better than most organic Instead of filling your shed with a ton of rock dust, compost, worm castings, making compost tea, seaweed fertilizer, etc ($$$), you can get something like Miracle grow which is a trusted brand with many micronutrients simply not found in most all organics and will give You a bumper crop His hippie approach is way too complicated for most leisure gardeners He talks about heavy metals, toxins Well, You are more apt to get that putting a host of all kinds of crap He lists, or You can use 2 or 3 more complete options, from trusted brands He loves rock dust for minerals and micronutrients, something most synthetic fertilizers already have, ok, but does the rock dust contain Radium, Arsenic, lead, copper salts? Just keep it simple folks
Comment from : @goldslinger

@goproking6704
I use Bone and Blood meal and I sprinkle Mycorrhizae on the root ball and plant, Garden is looking great

@BILLYMORGAN1971
This is all yuppie solutions I've used organic methods and they take a ton of fertilizer unless you have really rich soil you will have poor crops If you're battling time, poor soil, synthetics are the way to go unless your garden is a 4x6 bed Not everyone has great soil or the money to play yuppie games
Comment from : @BILLYMORGAN1971

@johnmills972
Do you use tap water for mixing organic fertilizer or worm castings Medina hasta grow comes with garden hose attachment Wil the chlorine and other chemicals harm the bacteria

Hi John- new subscriber, longtime gardener and old school home grower Just wanted to say thanks for the awesome channel Love the production quality of the videos , you always have very interesting and knowledgeable guests like Josh and Wendi and lastly I can feel the passion you have for the topics you talk about and as someone who shares that passion I just wanted to say- right on man!br On the topic of this video I currently and am a longtime user of Ocean Forest {Happy Frog for my seedlings and clones} I amend it with several of the best 6 and none of the worst 6 thankfully lol , the only other thing I add and I find really helps with retaining moisture in the soil is food grade diatomaceous earth It is said to have other benefits as well br You and Josh often ask us to tell you what we do, and that is something I do that I haven't heard you talk much about {but I am a new subscriber and havent watched every video so I could be wrong} so I just wanted to share thanks again and I look forward to more of your always helpful honest and entertaining videos Cheers

Comment from : @donnastormer9652

@dillonmech7206
When you have raw land don't pollute it with the garbage of chemical fertilizers that ruin your organic abilities Do it once and its OVER Thanks for a good vid Look up Cubas move to organic farming methods, although I'm not a commie by any means, their transition to a new method of farming is inspiring to this right wing God fearing hippie
Comment from : @dillonmech7206

@robertwebb2234
I have to make up several different waters for my various plants #1 is for my edible plants br#2 Is for my non edible plants such as flowers and shrubs etc br#3 Is for my cannabis plants br#4 Is for my lawns brbrI don’t make watering day or days a pain in the ars Just be smart and try to not pass on anything that transfers to through the plants cells Mercury is a metal that will transfer from one person to the next like making a baby I’m so grateful for this information brAnd keep it up brother
Comment from : @robertwebb2234

@lfay8177
I mean nature finds a way regardless That's why fungi and bacteria exist The goal is homeostasis, all biological organisms maintain homeostasis and will adapt to do so You don't need a to be a scientist or an environmental engineer to have a great garden learning what nature is telling you it needs and providing what you can is part of the experience and the journey! Avoiding contaminants is important, mostly because nature knows what its doing and adding synthetics messes with what the soil has been doing for millions of years Humans have livers and kidneys to filter impurities to achieve homeostasis We've evolved to do that knowing we will encounter harmful substances We can drink a beer and not die! brbrAlso, who knows what impurities are already in your soil Maybe the last homeowner used every herbicide and pesticide on the market, maybe they dumped motor oil in what is now your organic vegetable gardenbrbrDon't over complicate gardening to the point you're too scared you'll grow a poisonous zucchini somehow Don't be afraid to compost dead foliage that may or may not have thrips or rot! Break the damn rules and see what happens! Thats part of the fun!
Comment from : @lfay8177

Comment from : @bigmike9558

@ryanhuntridge3985
Idk man, I have tons of plants and herbs and fruit trees and use compost from our compost bin in my yard, but the plant that grew the fastest, fullest, strongest, produced the most AND produced the best flavor fruit, was a DWC purple Cherokee tomato plant that used only “synthetic fertilizer” It wasn’t even comparable to the compost planted tomatoes we did a year earlier, but I will say that hydroponics and soil are different approaches with different costs so there is that as well
Comment from : @ryanhuntridge3985
