Thanks doc Last month i got in to a fight that made me angry and binge drinking without food but only drinking alcohol for 5 days but on the 6 th day i started vomitting alot and got those deadly tremors seizures and dt i was rush to the er , i was trying to get to the bathroom when i pass out epilepsy bitting my toung and cracking my head It was hell of a ride please dont drink

I had epilepsy until i think 2017-18 i was on treatment till jan 2020 After that My doctor said that iam cured and i should stop taking medicines but don't drink coffee Can i smoke or drink??

I am 38 I started having one seizures every 2-3 months in August of 2012 I got pneumonia twice which caused me to have 5 bad full tonic-clonic seizures in a 24 hr period I am resistant to meds ( they can only reduce the after effects of a seizure) I have tried 12 different meds and am on Aptiom at the moment since it reduces the pain I feel after a seizure It makes it so my muscles do not feel like I pushed them hours past their limit, maybe just one hour $3800 per month and it just reduces the body damage of a seizure br It use to be a seizure every month and it took 2-3 weeks to recover from it I sometimes drink because it makes me feel like I use to before the seizures I forget it all and am just happy to be alive Forgetting all the stress you've had to put on your family can make you feel like you were suppose to if none of this shit had befallen you It is nice to just feel what life could have been like for a moment I was never trying to drink to become a fool, just to remember what it was like before I hit 28 years old

Are there other issues with Alcohol and epilepsy besides potentially triggering seizures? Some people arent triggered by alcohol and can manage super bowl games etc fine

Can alcohol withdrawal cause tonic clonic seizures in people with focal epilepsy? I'm suspecting I have focal simple partial seizures and I drank for YEARS and suddenly stopped cold turkey but I never had any grand mal seizures but I did have high anxiety Still do 6 months later

foods that has caffeine can also trigger your seizure example chocolate, coffee, energy drinks, green tea, coca cola, black tea etc
